Diamond Naturals Indoor Formula Dry Cat Food, 18-lb bag

We've been trying to find a healthy alternative to our prior go-to dry food (Farmina N&D Lamb/Blueberry). The only flaw with the Farmina food is it's made overseas, and I preferred to find a healthy food made in the US. Our cat LOVES the N&D dry food, though, and so it's been hard to find a replacement he loves just as much. Farmina supposedly just opened a US plant in NC this month and will start making their food in the US which we do look forward to and will purchase again then. That said, our little guy is a rescue and we made him part of our family about a year ago where he'd been an outdoor cat on his own in our neighborhood for some time. He then somehow he decided we needed to be his family and started sleeping on our doorstep, so we adopted him and now he's strictly indoors and happy. He's about 8 years old. We've actually been trying to get him off his dry food addiction that he's had since adopted :) So the transition in trying to find another dry food he does like as much as the Farmina has actually worked out well. We've tried 2-3 other brands and he liked them all fine, but the Diamond dry food has been his least favorite which has been surprising. So the good part is, though, because he doesn't like the Diamond dry nearly as much, he never finishes his portion and now we've been able to get him to eat wet food primarily as he gets hungry. We'll likely try and return this bag as it would take him forever to finish it at this rate. We did purchase due to the healthy ingredients, having grain and it being made in the US. It probably does have more carbs than necessary due to the rice and pearled barley being in top three ingredients, so that's a minus. Every cat is different as all of us know, so your kitty may love this, but our little guy isn't a fan.
