Kittens: Feed up to two times the recommended adult feeding amount to kittens.
Feed according to the age, size and activity level of your cat. Feed at room temperature and refrigerate unused portion. Keep fresh water available at all times.
Some pets may have sensitive stomachs and could potentially experience digestive upset from a sudden diet change. Because of this, we recommend making a gradual transition between foods. Begin with 25% of the recommended daily portion of the new food mixed with 75% of the recommended daily portion of the previous diet. Feed this blend for 2-3 days and then change the mix to 50% of each for 2-3 days. Then feed 75% of the recommended daily portion of the new food with 25% of the recommended daily portion of the previous diet for a final 2-3 days before fully switching.
Cats can be funny about diet changes. Watch closely to be sure that your cat is eating during the transition. We recommend that you put two bowls of food out - one for the new food and one for the old - so that you can closely monitor how much of each is being consumed.
I bought three cans of this food at a local feed store so the cats could try it. They loved it. And then I bought two cases of it from Chewy and they barely touch it.
My obese cats are finally losing weight at a healthy rate & this food is helping. For now I am dividing a can into 1/3s. Each meal is that measured portion mixer with warm water for each cat. Meal time is morning, 1pm and 9:30pm. I am starting to be able to feel backbone & ribs. They have a way to go but getting there safely.
Awful. Most of my cats vomit this back up within minutes of eating it. I had to throw out two cases. Not sure what their quality control is but I’m never getting near this brand again.
None of my cats even the strays would eat it even though it seemed perfectly good.
I taste all of the new brands I feed my kittens/cats. This one has a bit of a chemical taste. It also has pieces of carrot that you can see and all of the literature suggests that you should feed your felines high protein and low carb, all-wet diets. We donated this to a shelter.
Both of my 8 month old male cats love this food, and the ingredients are veggies and wild caught white fish with chicken liver which means it's healthy for my kitties because it's made with real food and not by products ! Also reasonably priced.
We recently took in a 5 month old kitten who was eating one of the more expensive brands. I like the quality and lower price of Diamond Naturals, so we switched him. Alas, he really won't eat the fish flavor food at all. The adult cat will, but the kitten reaaaally reaaally hates it. If I water it down to a gravy and put it on his dry food, he will eat that. I'm assuming it has an overly strong flavor for a baby cat? Either that or we just got a weird kitten. The adult cat who comes in to clean the dishes has no problem with it.
Our kitten loved this and she is very picky eater. She eats this right up and wants more. Was nervous having to get a case. However well worth it. Highly recommend. She coat is so soft and silky since starting this food. She meows for more.
I appreciate good quality, and I like this food. I like it, Not love it. As an old kitty with four teeth I expect pate to by 100% smooth and soft. This has bits of carrot, it's not pureed! I just leave those behind. Also, it's a bit watery, but my tummy likes it. Overall, good stuff and the right price.
Title says it all... can’t seem to get our kittens to enjoy it. Oh well. Hopefully others have better luck.
