Some cats need more time and encouragement before they start enjoying a new food, especially if they’ve been eating dry food only, or a wet food with artificial flavors, corn, wheat or soy. If your cat doesn’t go for American Journey at first, don’t worry as this is totally normal. A little patience goes a long way. Aside from following the recommended transition instructions, here are some tips to help ensure a smooth transition:

I originally bought this in 3 oz cans. My 2 cats liked it so much, I decided to economize and by the 5.5 oz cans. Unfortunately, the larger cans are chunks with NO gravy. I tried adding bone broth, but that didn’t help.
tried AJ minced as an alternative to Blue Buffalo when Blue price gets too high. All 6 cats ate it up. I am on my second auto delivery and the verdict is the same. Thank you.
The cats do like it. However, I received a batch that was really beat up. Two cans were smashed enough to break the seal and I had to through them away.
Finally found a good food my picky bengal will eat and have been purchasing it for months and now Chewy is charging more for WAY less food, and that is unacceptable. It was $32 for 24 5oz. cans, and now that is no longer available (both constantly run out! And since only Chewy makes it there are no other options for purchasing it) and it is $36 for 24 3oz cans (supposedly $32 for the 5oz cans, but it's out of stock STILL so I have a feeling they will raise it as well when/if it finally comes back). I bought it because I had to, and hoped the 5oz cans would come back before I had to order again, but NOPE. It's one thing to charge more for less, when more is available (it used to be $29, which was bad enough), but when the 5oz cans are constantly out of stock, there should be some consideration for that. Trying to feed my cats quality food should not be so hard, sigh.
