About This Item

Details

Canine osteoarthritis (OA) is both a common and chronic condition that many dogs are diagnosed with. Rimadyl is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory prescription medication (NSAID) used to help relieve the pain and inflammation associated with OA, joint abnormalities, and can also help relieve pain from surgery. Over 26 million dogs have been treated with Rimadyl, making it one of the most trusted NSAID prescribed by vets. By giving your dog one or two easy-to-use caplets a day, you can help manage his pain and inflammation, so he can stay active and continue his daily dog duties. This medication is tolerated by most dogs with allergies to meat proteins. We directly source prescription medications from manufacturers and wholesale distributors registered with the FDA and licensed by applicable state boards. Guaranteed genuine, and where applicable, backed by the manufacturer.

The OA Pain Medicine Most Trusted by Vets

Rimadyl was the first FDA-approved nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) for dogs and the most widely approved and recognized by veterinarians. [1] It’s been used to treat over 29 million dogs and counting. [2]

Rimadyl Helps Dogs Get Back to Their Lovable Selves

In one study, dogs showed visual improvements in energy, happiness, activity level, and comfort in just two weeks. [3] When used as directed by your veterinarian, Rimadyl can help relieve the effects of OA, a painful, progressive disease.

Conveniently Offered in Two Forms

Rimadyl is available in both caplet and chewable form. Rimadyl Chewables come in a palatable liver-flavor, designed to taste good to dogs. Keep Rimadyl in a secured storage area out of reach of your dog and other pets. Ask your veterinarian what’s best for your dog.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

As a class, NSAIDs may be associated with gastrointestinal, kidney, and/or liver side effects. These are usually mild but may be serious. Pet owners should discontinue therapy and contact their veterinarian immediately if side effects occur. Evaluation for preexisting conditions and regular monitoring are recommended for pets on any medication, including Rimadyl. Use with other NSAIDs or corticosteroids should be avoided. Rimadyl has been my go-to for pain and inflammation issues with my dogs. It helped to my dog, Rosie, get back on her feet after being lame on the hind end. When I tried to reduce the amount medication, she started crying and I knew I had to keep it at the level that was ordered & this also told the doctor that she still needed this anti-inflammatory. We got her back to walking and the doctor couldn’t believe her recovery as she was diagnosed with IVDD. 2-3 years down the road it happened again where she became lame in her back end. I can’t remember if I had reduced the dosage or what happened? I went to the vet and they filled my Rx for the Rimadyl and she continues to take it daily & walking again. She has to be about 14 years old by now

Waiting on meds

I still haven't received my refill. The medicine has made a great difference in his daily life. I hope he doesn't have to go without it long.

Chewy Meds

My dog’s Vet recommends to use Chewy for his prescriptions. The process is easy and their customer service is good. I just wish the delivery service was faster

My dog’s Vet recommends to use Chewy for his prescriptions. The process is easy and their customer service is good. I just wish the delivery service was faster. Instead of waiting 5 days for the medications to arrive, 2 days would be better. My dog was sick and he really needed the antibiotics and anti inflammatory right away, I placed the order thinking the medication would be here in 1-2 days. On the 3rd day I had to take him back to the Vet. And, right away they treated him and gave him the medications he needed. A few days later the medications from Chewy arrived. If you’re needing a prescription filled right away, you’ll need to get it right from your Vet or use another company.
