Dr. Elsey's Crystal Attract Long-Hair Crystal Cat Litter, 8-lb bag

I took in a 1.5 oz, almost dead from starvation weaning age feral kitten in early October. We had to keep him inside as he had absolutely no flesh on him. My husband was opposed as we live in a very small home and he hates the smell of a cat box, as do I. I did a lot of reading about litters and looked at many before trying this brand. Yes, it seems expensive, but there is literally no smell other than when he is in the process of pooping. But as soon as he buries it, the oder is gone. And since it is non clumping, it lasts a very long time. I scoop out the solid waste several times a day, but the urine is absorbed by the crystals, so no clumping. The matrix last for a month! So, in the long run, it is cheaper or the same price as the clumping varieties and there is no smell. The cat box is literally only 3 feet from our dining table as we have no other place it would fit. We are exposed to it at meal time. My husband has a very sensitive nose and he is okay with it. I will use no other kind of litter.

This is so dusty that you can’t breathe when you clean it out. It sticks to their paws really badly and I don’t see that it’s more attracting then other litter. I have a picky cat and he only uses crystal litter. Just trying to find the most cost effective best product. This is not it.

I really like this crystal litter. It’s not messy, my cats use it without issue, scooping poop is incredibly easy and I don’t have to worry about pee clumps disintegrating mid scoop. It does a good job of containing the stink, too. My long hair cat loves it.
