Why is it advertised as unscented when it has 'herbal scent' listed DIRECTLY in the description? If there is any scent, any fragrance at all added to it, 'natural' or 'artificial' then it is not an UNSCENTED litter, correct?
Answer by KellcatJun 05, 2022
That is probably one of the attractant ingredients. It is unscented to humans.

How often do you change the litter and wash the box
Answer by ChewyMar 11, 2021
The litter should be changed out and the boxes washed once a month.

Is this litter's particle size smaller than the Ultra Clumping formula?
Answer by ChewyFeb 13, 2018
The Ultra and the Cat Attract litter are the same particle size. The difference is that the Cat Attract contains the herbal additive and the Ultra does not.

Am I able to use cat deodorizer powder with this litter without it ruining the attract?
Answer by ChewyNov 03, 2017
We don't recommend using a deodorizer with the Cat Attract. The product works on a smell premise and it will demise the scent.

The Jury is Still Out

It's a little soon for me to rate this product, but so far, I am having mixed success. Our male cat has been pooping on the bathroom floor for a couple of months. He pees in the litter box, though. We have a female cat as well, and we have 3 litterboxes (two uncovered, one covered). I am currently using Cat Attract in the two uncovered boxes, and rewarding him when I see him exit the litter box (even if he has only peed). I think he's making that reward connection, but is still pooping on the floor more than in the litter box. I'm hoping that given time, he'll start using the litter box consistently for both. I've had success with this litter in the past with multiple cats, so I'm counting on it!

It actually works!

My cat started peeing and pooping outside of the litterbox out of no where. Probably due to stress as the vet saikd nothing was medically wrong. We tried several different litters and litterbox combos to see what it was but so far this is the only thing thats worked. She has occasionally pooped outside the box but omg what a difference! I'll take cleaning up poo once in a while vs cat pee any day.

Kittens vs Older rescue Cat

I love this litter, it worked so well for my old rescue Cat that was previously a stray earlier in life. He loved this litter as well. It’s clean & easy to scoop. So now we have a kitten & I stayed with this same brand. But I caught the kitten trying to eat the litter. So I wonder if the herbal attractant litter really isn’t necessary for kittens that do not previously have any litter box issues. :(. Just sharing experiences and opinion. Thanks! I Will always go back to this litter in the future with other rescues though.

if you like scooping cement

I honestly think it’s like scooping cement. It’s hard to clean. I’m not entirely sure it even works. My cat just used my camera bag instead. Definitely do not use this in a litter robot. It basically becomes a cement roller. I’ve used this in a traditional box and the LR it was an absolute nightmare. Im not submitting a photo of a cat box. Your welcome.

Worked... Sort Of

My elderly cat stopped doing her business inside the box. I was cleaning up 5-6 puppy pads a day, wanting to pull my hair out when a coworker suggested this litter. It's definitely helped -- she now only goes outside the box 1-2 times a day. I don't know if the litter is responsible for her changed behavior or the low-entry litter box I bought but either way I'm happy with the improvement. I honestly hate clay litter (dustier, gets tracked everywhere, less environmentally friendly, turns to solid concrete when wet), but if it helps with litter box problems I'll take it.

Fixed pooping outside of the box

My female 5 year old was recently intermittently pooping right outside of her box. I found this product in an article, that suggested scented cat litters & too clean of a litter box, were messing up her instincts of finding her scent. To my surprise this litter worked! It also does a great job of eliminating any odor & forms solid clumps. FYI I have two cats & one large box and now have ZERO odor from them or perfumed scented litter in my home, even when it goes a couple of days without scooping AND all poop is where it should be, in the box! My only ask for improvement would be that it came in a box or hard container

This really works!

My new cat, 2-year-old Mabel did not want to use her litter box. This litter was recommended to me by a Vet. Tech and I am forever in her debt! Mabel loves visiting her box now, even if it's just to walk around in it.

I agree...what went wrong??

I loved this litter. I used it for over a year. My feline is very fussy about the litter. I was having issues with him peeing outside of the box. So I was overjoyed when I found, Cat Attract. But the last two bags have been awful. It's like scooping wet cement out of the box. I broke my litter scoop today! Please, fix the problem... It's the only litter my cat will use. UGH!

Dr Elsey's Precious Cat Attract

I have a male (semi feral) rescue who's always had an issue with going outside the litter box. This litter has helped SO much! I have 3 litter boxes in one room and I decided to put this litter in one and my regular Tidy Cats in the other two and each cat prefers this litter! The clumps are also much firmer in this litter making it much easier to clean and keep fresh. I haven't noticed if there's a difference in the amount of dust. Even though it's unscented I haven't noticed any odors. It's a great product, absolutely recommend giving it a try.

Doesn't clump as well as it used to

I'm not sure if the formula changed or not--perhaps it was a change in the size of the litter granules, but this cat litter does not clump as well as it used to, and we've been purchasing it for years. It worked great at first. Not so much anymore.
