Earthborn Holistic Unrefined Roasted Rabbit with Ancient Grains & Superfoods Dry Dog Food

Not single source protien

This food contains salmon and lamb , along with rabbit. While I love this brand, and this line of products, I don't like the fact that this is not a single Source protein food. I have four dogs, and it is a struggle to find something that everyone can eat. None of my dogs can eat kibble that contains liver, or brewers yeast, and one of my dogs is severely allergic to Brown rice. This brand of food has been the only thing we can feed him. One of our other dogs is sensitive to salmon, so I was disappointed to discover that this variety contains salmon, though the label states it is rabbit. It seems as if the smoked turkey variety is the only variety that is truly a single Source protein in this line of food.

My 3 labs love this kibble. I love the ingredients and lack of ingredients like grains and pea. It gets a 4 instead of a 5 because it has a lot of 'kibble dust', a lot. I could feed all 3 a meal if I could put it back in kibble form.

My sweet girl loves this brand! I love the single source protein options, as she doesn’t tolerate chicken very well. Love that it has healthy grains and none of the junk that’s in many other brands. She loves this brand in all the different proteins that we’ve tried so far! There is always a clean bowl at the end of meal times. Very very happy!

Bought this food for my dog with food allergies. She is moderately allergic to most animal based proteins. Decided to go with this rabbit based formula as she has no sensitivity to rabbit. Kibble appears to be of good quality. If you try this, note that inconsistency in kibble between bags is normal. Will also see variation in kibble powder amount between bags. Just depends on the batch / ingredient sources. Perfectly normal.

Great Product

My dogs have loved this brand. I have noticed my last few orders there have been more that usual crumbs that settle at the bottom. It’s almost like 1/4 of the bag is crumbs

So far so good . Wanted to give her healthier food . Without corn . She’s tolerating it well after changing from ProPlan. Doesn’t seem to have any allergies to this food .

Soft kibble powder is just gravy mix!

Many reviewers complain about the “powder” from this dog food. It is indeed an easily crumbled kibble. That’s a non-issue with my dogs because I just put a little hot water on it with a quick stir and we have “rabbit stew.” My dogs LOVE IT, far better than eating it dry, and will lick the bowl clean. Their stool is small and firm. I couldn’t be more happy! It’s the PERFECT food for my Frenchton’s and their special dietary needs. RECOMMENDED!!!

I Wanted to Believe in This Food

2 stars because I will give them credit for their philosophy but sadly this made my dog very sick and very expensive vet bills.

Lots of powder

I'm not sure if it is just this bag, or the product line. There is a lot of granules in this bags of food, as it has been crushed, or just wasn't made properly.

My dog loves it

I ordered it because my dog wasn't eating her normal food. I thought maybe she was bored or didn't feel well or something changed in her food. So I tried something else. She ate it right away. She's starting to eat her old food again but if I put her old food with this food in the same bowl she eats this the earthborn first.
