I have a Great Dane, he is about 145 pds. I need to know how many tablets to give and will one dose do?

The dosage will vary by pet weight. For dogs 45-60 pounds use 1 tablet, dogs 61-90 pounds use 1.5 tablets and for dogs 91-120 pounds use 2 tablets. For a pet weighing 145 pounds, they would need 2.5 tablets so, an extra pack would be needed. Dogs currently infected with intestinal parasites may need more than one round of deworming (this is especially important in puppies) to adequately clear out infections. Your veterinarian can help provide you with an appropriate deworming strategy that best fits your dog’s needs. Additionally, steps should be taken to control fleas (carriers of tapeworms) and rodents (carriers of tapeworms, hookworms and roundworms) on the premises to help prevent reinfection and the need for additional treatment.

Vet told me to give a second dose in several weeks to get rid of worms that hatched from eggs after first medication wore off. Would you explain process for killing hatchlings from eggs that were not destroyed by your deworming medication ? or explain if your medication poison kills eggs ?

This de-wormer treats your dog in one day. It does not prevent against future infestations. Steps should be taken to control fleas and rodents on the premises in order to prevent reinfection; otherwise, retreatment will be necessary. This is especially true in cases of tapeworms transmitted by fleas (Dipylidium caninum) where reinfection is almost certain to occur if you do not remove fleas from your pet and its environment. If reinfection occurs, tapeworm segments may be observed within one month of the initial treatment.

Would I give both bone chewables at one time to my 90 lb.shepherd or just 1?

You can offer the entire dosage directly in your dog’s mouth or in a small amount of food. Fasting is not necessary or recommended.

Mila loves her gator. She's nine now and keeps two in rotation often holding both in her paws. She sucks on the snout and falls asleep. Note to self: if you want to play fetch, don't grab the toy's nose. As she has matured she doesn't rip it up anymore. But once a year we get a new one and the nastiest of the old ones disappears. It washes beautifully.. Thank you for her best toy.

Prevention

So I do these every 6 months as a prevention. We live in the country so the dogs at times get into things they shouldn't. I recommend these, does it do any i dont

NEVER BEEN SICKER

MY DOG WAS SO SICK AFTER TAKING HIS RECOMMENEDED DOSE. HE WAS THROWING UP ALL DAY, WE BROUGHT HIM TO THE VET TO MAKE SURE HE WAS GOING TO BE OK. I DO NOT RECOMMEND
