I have had cats for about 45 years now. My very first cat innately knew how to fetch. I would roll up a bit of newspaper, toss it an she would run after it, pick it up and return it to me. Well, close to me. My newest kitten was presented to me by my sister who also showered the new addition to my home with presents. One of them was one of these lightweight fuzzy and colorful balls. She played with everything for a little while but it wasn't long before she pranced over to me and dropped at my feet. So I picked it up and tossed it across the living room and she chased and pounced on it like a Jaguar or Lion. After rolling around with it, she stopped, picked it up and brought it back to me dropping it at my feet. Sometimes on ,y lap if she is so inclined. And, as they say, rinse and repeat. We both have a lot of fun.

I like these -- and I thought my cats would as well based on the texture -- but they seem a bit indifferent. And it is unclear where the catnip comes in; they aren't filled, so are they scented with it? If so, I don't smell anything and my cats didn't seem attracted to any scent. They are fine as soft balls to throw though. They do pick up hair and fuzz, but most of the other puffballs I have do too.

Our cat had two of these torn apart with contents strewn about within two minutes. Fortunately, I was watching and was able to gather everything up before he had a chance to swallow any of the bits. I immediately threw the rest away. They were very cheaply made and felt as though they would simply melt away when touched.

The yarn balls too light weight

When I first handled the balls I felt how light they are. Max loves to chase and retrieve the old ones that look exactly like the one I am reviewing. Unfortunately,

When I first handled the balls I felt how light they are. Max loves to chase and retrieve the old ones that look exactly like the one I am reviewing. Unfortunately, they are so light they do not go very far when thrown. The old balls will sail into different rooms when tossed where he will bat it around and then pick it up and retrieve it and drop it at my feet so that I can throw it again. He likes them (the old ones) so much that I have awakened to 3 of them on top of the bed patiently waiting for me to throw them. The new ones would be perfect if they were just a couple ounces heavier. I’ll keep looking for them as mine are just about worn out.

Avoid buying these! Hazard!

My cat loves any kind of poofy ball, so I wanted to try these out. Unfortunately my cat likes to chew these and even with my hand I noticed that the texture easily

My cat loves any kind of poofy ball, so I wanted to try these out. Unfortunately my cat likes to chew these and even with my hand I noticed that the texture easily pulls out. This is a major issue and could lead to blockages. They fell apart within 30min with my cat. I don’t know how these are able to even be sold, as this could be a big issue if cats eat the felty pieces that come off the toy easily.

Well, 1st off. These little balls are easy fun for the girls. They enjoy them more than we even thought they would. Everything we buy from Chewy are always happy

Well, 1st off. These little balls are easy fun for the girls. They enjoy them more than we even thought they would. Everything we buy from Chewy are always happy with. Our exception was the package was torn completely open and crushed. Little disappointed because these were part of our Jane and Pippa Christmas. All's good in the end. :)
