This lamp is suitable for Uromastyx's, or spiny-tailed lizards.

The Exo Terra Reptile UVB150 has a very high UVB output similar to sunlight in deserts. It does not provide UVA.

Better than expected

When I first plugged this in, I didn’t have high hopes for this bulb as it started off really dark. However, after it was on for a few minutes, it quickly got brighter

When I first plugged this in, I didn’t have high hopes for this bulb as it started off really dark. However, after it was on for a few minutes, it quickly got brighter. It reached maximum brightness within five minutes, likely less than that. My bearded dragon lives in a 75-gallon tank and I placed the lamp with the bulb at the middle of the tank. The light radiating from the bulb penetrated through his tank quite nicely and radiated throughout his tank. It reached both ends, but I think two of these lights at each side would be most ideal for larger and longer tanks. This review considers the light coupled with his basking bulb and without. Obviously, the bulb with his basking light was brighter, but without the basking light there was not a large difference. This little bulb is a great value and I’m impressed with what I’ve seen from it so far.

I’ve been using the Exo Terra Desert UVB 150 for a little over a month with my bearded dragon, and it’s been working really well. The UVB output is strong and consistent, great for keeping him healthy and active. It fit easily into a standard dome fixture and hasn’t had any issues so far. No flickering or dimming just steady light every day. Overall, it’s a solid, dependable bulb I feel good about using in my setup. I’ll definitely be getting another one when it’s time to replace it.

Good place holder before I invest in a long light setup

This light went out 3 days into me using it, but the wonderful staff at Chewy helped get it replaced and so far it’s working great.

This bulb amazingly makes my tank look like true daylight but does not provide any heat source. It's truly just a UV bulb. My leopard gecko prefers basking under a heat lamp that also has UV, so she rarely came out over the course of the week I tried the bulb. Once I put my previous bulb back, she spent a lot of time basking again. I'm sure this bulb serves its purpose for UV light but without the heat, my gecko wasn't interested.

The Exo Terra Desert UVB 150 Reptile bulb is ideal for the use in my 75gallon enclosure for my bearded dragon (I will in the future also use it for my sulcata tortoise)

The Exo Terra Desert UVB 150 Reptile bulb is ideal for the use in my 75gallon enclosure for my bearded dragon (I will in the future also use it for my sulcata tortoise). It emits a bright, natural appearing light that my dragon seems to like. It fits perfectly in the square light fixture that I use on the enclosure on a metal mesh lid. I can't say much about durability, yet, but all in all I am very satisfied with the product so far.

Overall satisfied with the shipping of the product. It came quickly and the packaging was secure so there was no damages. The bulb isn’t as bright as I thought it would be but after the first day my white tree frogs were happily sitting directly underneath it! It will take more time to see if it helps with their color and other natural habits but we’re all pleased with the results so far!
