i have 2 cats. one is 6.5 lbs and the other is 12.5lbs. how many cans do I need?
Answer by ChewyNov 30, 2020
We recommend consulting with your veterinarian to best determine your pet's daily calorie intake and feeding recommendations. The general feeding guideline recommended by the manufacturer is as follows: For the Chicken Feast Pate and Beef Feast Pate recipes, it is recommended to feed an average size adult cat 1 can per 3-1/2 pounds of body weight daily. For the Tuna Feast In Gravy and Chicken Feast In Gravy recipes, it is recommended to feed an average size adult cat 1 can per 3 pounds of body weight daily.

Good to have 12 packs

I have one cat that I adopted 3 months ago and am still figuring out what she likes to eat. I appreciate that Chewy has some 12 packs available to help me test the waters. I've discovered she doesn't like minced food, which is about half of this pack, but I'll continue to buy this every now and then to change up the mix of food. She does like the pates in this pack, but not so much that I'd buy 24 packs. So this is perfect. I have to give a shout out to Chewy. They really care about pets and their owners. And I'm so grateful to have good choices. I live in the boondocks with tiny stores and few selections. Chewy is a Godsend. Thanks.

one problem

The product was fine. I thought I had added it to my existing autoship, but it came separately and I had to pay for the shipping. I think the only way to add to my existing autoship is to cancel it and replace the entire order.

Only the minced gets eaten

My 2 cats eat the minced, but the pate, esp the chicken is left untouched. One of my cats tries to bury it. This is in line with the regular non- senior chicken pate Fancy Feast formula, which they wont eat either. No more Fancy Feast purchases for my household. Cats vote by not eating. FF used to be gobbled up, but no longer.

Is it a Trend?

Looks like it.... My ol' boy likes FF Sr. Food, but like other fur-baby parents, the chicken pate repeatedly gets wasted. The beef pate gets tolerated sometimes. I guess I'll donate the ones he won't eat, but I would like to pay for something that would be totally eaten.

Watch for damaged cans

On both boxes i had over half of the cans damaged. So bad that the cat food was spoiled. I am tired of calling in and complaining on this process.

Fancy Feast Senior

My senior kitty loves this food! He's been finicky in the past but cleans his bowl for me!

Minced is Great!

My cats loved all flavors however, one only preferred minced. This was a great price for the collection. I got to try a new food without spending a lot of money. The size of the can is perfect. For 2 cats, it's about 2-3 meals each.

Not for the fussy

My cat is super fussy about wet food so I may not be the best one to judge. I would suggest people just try a can or two from the store first before buying a pack of twelve if your cat is fussy.

Mixed on the Pate, love the minced

The 2 girls will nibble on the pate eventually finishing it all, (and to be honest are this way with all pate flavors.) The minced is a much different story - they actually wolf it down!
