Not very palatable

My horse would not eat his grain with this mixed in. I had to add crushed peppermints to make it palatable for him. Another huge issue is its made with red #40,

Too early to see benefits

I've been using this less than a month and the directions clearly state to use the "therapeutic" dose for 6-8 months before switching to the "maintenance" dose,

I've been using this less than a month and the directions clearly state to use the "therapeutic" dose for 6-8 months before switching to the "maintenance" dose, so I'm assuming it'll take closer to 6 months before I see any results. The 3 stars is basically neutral because there hasn't been enough time for it to work. However, I will say it may taste like hay, but it smells almost chemically. I find it off putting. My horse is eating it; though I sandwich it between her pellet feed, or she won't eat as much of it.

Too soon to tell if it's working but the red color freaked me out so I checked the ingredients. Red 40 for the color which I stay away from in my diet so I'm not thrilled to feed it to my horse. The picture of the front of the bag was brown so that's what I expected. I don't understand why it needs to be red but if it works then that's great. But there's no need to color it.
