New cat vs old cats

We have two indoor female cats (sisters - Bella and Violet) that are 4 years old. We have been feeding a stray cat for over a year when she started coming to me

We have two indoor female cats (sisters - Bella and Violet) that are 4 years old. We have been feeding a stray cat for over a year when she started coming to me and wanting to be petted. After about a month of this, we decided to take her to the vet and bring her into our house. Turned out she had been chipped and is a 7 year old spayed female (Angel). We kept her isolated initially and thought our other cats would easily adapt. They were all terrified of each other but I was giving them time to adjust. Then about a month ago, Angel decided to venture upstairs where the other cats were hiding. Violet attacked Angel and bit her on the paw which required two vet trips for treatment. Violet was snarling and hissing at Bella and very unhappy with everything. I found an old, unopened Feliway diffuser in the cupboard and decided even if it was 4 years old, I would try it. The results were amazing! I have purchased two new ones and put on each floor near the stairs. The old cats are not friendly with the new cat yet but Violet is no longer hissing at Bella, and I am going to add some calming powder to their food to see if that helps them to get along better.

Weird smell

It has a weird plastic burning smell but over a few days it either went away or i got used to it lol , got this for my kitten because she was going through her first

It has a weird plastic burning smell but over a few days it either went away or i got used to it lol , got this for my kitten because she was going through her first heat and had to wait a week for her spay appointment. i did see a slight difference for example she was sleeping way more than before, she still did attack my arm sometimes but that’s just normal behavior for her, but overall im still skeptical if it works or not

A must have for multiple cats

Princess loves her new toys she wasn't very playful or calm but both helped with making her feel better. Just got Zoe and there was a lot of tension between them

Princess loves her new toys she wasn't very playful or calm but both helped with making her feel better. Just got Zoe and there was a lot of tension between them but my vet recommended the defuser. It instantly called them and they have been calm and playing better together.

DO NOT BUY!!!

WARNING this makes your cats sick, DO NOT BUY. I purchased this after my vet recommended it to keep the peace between our 3 cats. It didn’t work on the problem cats,

WARNING this makes your cats sick, DO NOT BUY. I purchased this after my vet recommended it to keep the peace between our 3 cats. It didn’t work on the problem cats, and my youngest one got extremely sick. Lethargic, uncharacteristically uninterested in food, treats, or toys. Slept all day. And then her eyes became red and swollen, watering constantly. I’ve unplugged these diffusers and hid them away, and am airing out my apartment. There has been slow improvement but might still have to take her in to the vet from this

I think it works

I have been using this for about a year and ahalf. I'm not sure how well this works, but I'm afraid to stop using it. I have three cats. They do seem less stressed

I have been using this for about a year and ahalf. I'm not sure how well this works, but I'm afraid to stop using it. I have three cats. They do seem less stressed than before I started using it. They also tolerate each other in the same room and sometimes even on the same chair! They only rarely hiss at each other. So, I will continue to use this product.

Amazing difference

Bella was a stray. Her first two month with us were very traumatic. Biting, scratching, hissing, growling! No one could go near her except me and that was to feed her. No touching. Someone recommended feliway. I put it in the room that she had claimed and started sitting calmly on the floor in the room but not touching her, just talking softly. Within a week she was calm and curious. Fast forward 3 years, She now has the run of the house and is a very sweet girl. Recently I notice she was hiding more and seemed stressed. She was also peeing right inside the door between the door her box is in and the next room. I had stopped the feliway a year ago. I immediately ordered more and the day I plugged it in I saw a difference. Also, even though that door only goes to the mudroom and there is a second door at the other end of the room, I make sure that door remains open! She HATES closed doors!
