Parts should not be removed or replaced. It’s recommended to follow the assembly instructions and not omit any parts.
For the best lifespan, Frisco cat trees should be used indoors only.

The cat tower was easy to put together and seems well constructed but it’s not as stable as I would like. I anchored it to the wall so it wouldn’t fall over when my cats are getting on and off. Also, the perches are all so close that my cats have some trouble getting off the the perches, especially the upper one. The cats have used it but they seem to prefer their old perch across the room. Truth be told I’ve already ordered a shorter wider replacement.
It took a while for the cats to warm up to the newer and HIGHER cat tree but now the boys are fighting over the top perch! The granny cat likes the second or third spot depending on her mood. However, the dog (who believes she is a cat) was the first one to claim her spot on the tree.
Yes, cheap carpet for sure; plus, I had to attach two large, plastic ties. One to the bottom post and my bed header; the other one around two of the cat post for further strength. I don't believe the carpet showing in this picture is the same quality of the one that I received either. Chewy does have a one cat bed that looks like the carpet is this picture though that is of really good quality; I have had it for a long time too. Well, not sure how long this one will hold up, but my cats are enjoying it right now though. That is, they are really enjoying their bed options.
I bought this for a more simple cat tree in my downstairs living space, while I moved a monster cat tree upstairs. I thought my kitties would like the long pole side to climb, and the cups as nice resting space to gaze out of the window. Unfortunately, it does not live up to expectations. When it is assembled as the pictures indicate, my kitties had a VERY hard time moving from one cup to the next without help either from me or nearby furniture. It is really difficult for an average-sized adult cat to navigate when assembled as pictured. Tyson, the kitty who seems to levitate rather than jump, fell off trying to go from the second cup to the third because the space makes the leap too vertical. I had to swing the third cup out and leave it loose to give them room to make the jump. Whoever designed this doesn't have cats. At least not mature ones look to scratch, climb, and rest with ease. I would send it back if I could, to be honest. They're playing on the two lower levels and seem fairly content, but at at the price, it's a fail.
When I first unboxed this it smelled terribly of chemicals. So much so that my cat who sat in one of the seats for just a few minutes, ended up smelling like the strong chemical. We put it outside to air out on our enclosed porch for 1.5 weeks and while it helped the smell fade a little, it is still very much present. It also is very cheaply made. The carpet was falling off in pieces and there were rough bits of plastic poking through. Also, the tallest support beam is completely crooked even though I assembled with care following all instructions.
Well made, sturdy, nice looking. Had we known the Sides were 6 inches high, would not have purchased. We have 6 to 7 pound cats and they can't lay comfortably and rest heads on side to look out window. Made for large cats.
I bought this cat tree in February and now in May the carpet is shredded extensively. The quality is terrible. Nylon strings and bits of carpet everywhere from this tree.
This cat tree was easy to assemble. It is quite stable and is being enjoyed by three cats, who started resting in it as soon as it was put up for them. We may purchase a second one for a different location in the house.
I’ve tried so many trees but they all seem to be for kittens or very petite cats. Both of my cats are big. One has long legs and is about 12 pounds. The other is the same height but weighs 18 pounds. This tree holds both cat’s comfortably and doesn’t need to be attached to a wall. My cats are older & don’t go as crazy as they use to. If they were younger, you may need something. I love that it’s made of actual wood and not particle board or flimsy paper tubes. This will come in handy when I need to replace the rope. I don’t mind putting things together but I love how easy this one is. No tools, just trying to figure out where to screw in the top two beds. My cats have already claimed their favorite perch. I highly recommend for anyone with full grown cats.
Very happy with this and my 3 Maine Coons are too. Maybe ch more stable than some we’ve had and they enjoy the extra space they seem to have in the perches.
