Precautions

Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii, a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.

Instructions

Add approximately 4 inches of Frisco cat litter to a clean, dry litter box (this allows your cats to dig and cover their waste naturally). Scoop out waste daily, using a curved, slotted litter scoop. Throw away waste. Add more Frisco cat litter as necessary to maintain a depth of 4 inches. Additional Instructions

Only dispose of used cat litter in trash. Do not flush, bury or dispose of it outdoors, in gutters or storm drains to avoid environmental contamination. Not for internal use. Not meant for use as compost or as a traction aid. Store in a cool, dry place. Product filled by weight; some settling may occur.

Transition Instructions

For first time users, we recommend a gradual switch to our product. Start with 2/3 of your old cat litter and 1/3 of your new Frisco Litter. Over time, continue to add more of the Frisco Brand until your cat box has fully transitioned to this product.

Excellent litter, but clumps too strongly

By Beth on Oct 13, 2021

I love than this litter is lightweight and environmentally friendly. I have used both the scented and unscented versions and I don't notice much of a difference. My two complaints are that this litter is 1) too lightweight so it tracks and flies around, and 2) it clumps too strongly, like a mostly cured glob of cement. So I mix this with equal amounts of World's Best litter which solves both issues. My cats and I both love it.

    Great action but omg smelly

By joopinca on Oct 1, 2021

I have never met a better clumping product - ever, in 30+ years of cat ownership. but the smell is so horrific I have to split it with a clay based litter to kill the stench. So disappointing that they can't make it smell better because its clumping action is the best.

    It's worth a little more

By Banshee on Oct 13, 2021

I bought the scented grass litter because the unscented was unavailable. I can't describe the scent. It's sort of fruity, but it doesn't linger on the air long and controls litter odor better than the unscented.

The Best I Have Used So Far.

By Linda on Aug 9, 2021

I have been using this cat litter for 3 years now and I have had cats, as pets, for over 40 years. And this litter has worked the best for me. It has almost zero dust. It is super light weight. It controls the odor reasonably well and it has no overbearing odor of its own. It is easy to scoop. My 4 cats like and use it. The reason for 4 stars.... it is expensive and I must vacuum/sweep at least once a day as my cats track it all over the floor. Unfortunately this seems to be the problem with most natural, light weight litters. I will continue to use this litter until something better comes out and as long as I can afford it.

The cat litter journey may be over

By MyBadCats on Jul 23, 2021

I have gone through the gamut of cat litters over the decades; clay - ugh; Clean Burn stove pellets - like pine pellets but much cheaper but still a PIA since it doesn't clump; corn - smelled like fermented mash in a brewery after a few days out of the bag; clumping wood - horrible dust and sharp pieces tracking all over, even in bed. Can't use either wheat due to medical condition, and walnut since I have light carpets upstairs. Gawd! All I want is something I can compost, little or no dust, clumps and less tracking. So I hadn't tried corn yet, why not! Well it still does track, but THEY ALL DO! But at least it isn't sharp like the wood stuff. Also, very little dust! A huge biggie. It clumps excellently and when I change out the litter and clean the boxes, the remainder is making my compost become a lovely texture. It also has very good odor control, but I clean my boxes twice daily so I may not be the best judge for that. It is light so the bag is easy to carry and the clumps don't contribute to the 50lb weight limit of my garbage can each week. I usually buy non-scented, but I needed litter bad, and all that was available was the scented, but I was pleasantly surprised that it was quite light and did not make me nauseous like some scented litters do. Since the packaging indicates that all natural ingredients are used, I am assuming that the scent is also "natural." Overall, I am sticking with Frisco grass litter until my cats learn how to use and flush the toilet themselves. It may not be the cheapest, but it isn't the most expensive either and a bag lasts about a month - I have 3 cats and 2 big boxes - but I also dump out all the litter after a month to clean the boxes and freshen the litter. … more

    Frisco Grass Cat Litter

    By CatMom10 on Aug 2, 2021

I have been experimenting with different kitty litters. I did like the fact that it was a natural alternative. The Grass litter clumps really hard. Too hard, it's like cement. I scoop their boxes at least once a day sometimes twice. I was wanting a litter that was easy to scoop, I have arthritis in my hands and scooping is sometimes painful. I don't think I will buy this one again.

Delicate scent for those with a sensitive nose.

By Melissa on Sep 14, 2021

Unscented was out of stock so I went with scented for a change. Same great product but with a delicate scent my sensitive nose can tolerate. Will continue to order the scented version for my kitties.

FAVORITE litter....you won’t regret trying it

By calicoadventures on Jun 27, 2021

This litter is amazing. I am very picky about litter, maybe pickier than my 2 sassy calicos. I wanted a litter that’s healthier than clay (and less gross), good for the environment, great at clumping and odor control, and my cats will actually use (We had an issue with in appropriate urination everywhere in the house, and I figured out that they were unhappy with the Feline Pine pellets I was using). I tried Yesterday’s News (pellets were still a no-go from my cats) and World’s Best litter (definitely NOT the world’s best- bad smell, clumps break apart, SO dusty). After being fed up with cleaning urine off my carpets, I used cat attract clay. My cats loved it but I hated it. This grass litter This litter is amazing. Mine throw litter everywhere so I have a giant litter mat. Tracking is as expected- you’ll never find a fine litter that doesn’t track in my opinion. If you’re thinking about trying this litter- DO IT you won’t regret it. … more

    Bag is NOT recyclable

By paraselene on Jul 29, 2021

It's a great product - but I've had it with manufacturers who continue to be so irresponsible about packaging. This is a single use NON recyclable plastic bag. How big does the island of plastic floating in the ocean ---have to get before manufacturers wake up and take responsibility? I can't recommend purchasing this product because of the packaging.

hard to find the perfect cat litter

By orbitor on Jul 28, 2021

I ordered 4 different kinds of cat litter. This one does not stick to the litter box and does not hold the ammonia smell. I scoop 4 litter boxes up to 2 times a day. I have to scrub them once a week. I like this litter because it was not sticking to the box and did not hold the odor. So I did not have to scrub the box with this litter in it this past week.
