Excellent Bed for Our Older Dogs
I originally bought this bed for our 11yo Sheltie. He has some pretty severe arthritis in his front legs, and I thought he would enjoy it. He has been very pleased with the bed, but when we recently moved it outside of his kennel, our 9yo Sheltie appropriated it. So we're back to buy another bed, so that they both have one. This is a supportive, soft bed. Nice for old achy bones. Our dogs certainly think so. Even the Collie sneaks onto it. Definitely recommended!
Perfect for elderly dog
Purchased to put beside sofa on wood floors to give my elderly dog a cushioned landing spot when he jumps from couch. Its thick and dense enough to absorb the shock (he's 18 lbs). It's easier for him and softer on his legs and joints. He seems to prefer it as well and wont jump from the couch until he lines himself up with his cushion. Got the largest one even though he's a small dog. Super soft thick pile on the fuzzy part and nice anti slip material on the backing which assists with his launches! He sleeps on it sometimes and I could see us having to move to this type of thing for his actual bed in the future since its easier to get onto than a high sided bed.
Way overpriced
It is absolutely ridiculous how expensive this bed was and how they claim it's orthopedic. It's cheap foam in a cheap cover that you can just pull fibers off of. Think of those cheap carnival stuffed animals and that's the type of material the cover is made of.
Nice Cover But Crushes Very Quickly
I was looking for a nice mat with good thickness for my adult dobie. The cover is nice, soft, and has zipper for removing which is great. The quality of the foam mattress is lacking big-time! After only a couple of nights it is now crushed where he slept. I turned the mat around so he would sleep on the opposite end and it did the same. I ended up putting a thin padded mat underneath the new one to see if it would help with the crushing which really didn't help. Such a disappointment as these aren't cheap and it sure isn't going to last long. The shag cover is the only positive I can give it.
Not Great for Chewers
Unfortunately the shaggy covering on this mat was too tempting for our dog. She did a pretty good job at first but did destroy this in her crate in a 45 minute time period.
not easy to wash
Cover is removable to wash which is nice but it doesn’t prevent it from going into the foam which is not easily washed.. fits nicely in the crate and seems comfy but not good for a potty training dog who still has accidents. probably good for an older dog
Awesome Crate Mat!
This crate mat is amazing! It is plush and about 2 inches thick, yet has the consistency of a Tempur-Pedic mattress. It is also a great value for the money.
Excellent for the Price
It fit my crate perfectly and seems to be well made. Material is soft the grey color is nice. Time will tell
Long, Faux Fur Fabric
I bought a 54" and a 48" bed. They're nice except I'll never buy the "long, faux fur fabric" again. I give my dogs various milk bone treats when I crate them. As the bite into the treat, crumbs fall onto the bed. The long strands of faux fur make finding and cleaning up the crumbs challenging. My male resorted to trying to rip out the strands that were in the way. He stopped when I told him No. But I'm hoping they don't start falling out. My female is a licker, and I can see her with 10-20 long strands in her belly. (Both German Shepherds. Neither are excessive chewers.)
The workout room
Bought 2 of these mats for my workout room. The dogs go lay on them as soon as we go in the room. They lay on the mats and are out of the way while i workout. Perfect!
