Description

Make litter box duty a breeze with Frisco Micro Crystal Unscented Non-Clumping Crystal Cat Litter. This non-clumping formula is made with micro-sized crystals that absorb liquid waste and dry solid waste quickly, which helps provide superior odor control. For cats who prefer to potty on the side of the litter pans, the micro-sized silica gel granules help prevent pooling at the bottom. With every use, the crystals are gentle on paws so the litter is comfy to step on. Daily maintenance is easy, just remove the solid waste and stir the litter to help the absorbed liquid evaporate. These micro-crystals will continue to absorb for a full month. Plus, this formula features no added fragrance making it ideal for sensitive households.

Key Benefits
  • Micro crystals absorb liquids and lock in odors on contact.
  • One bag lasts up to a month when used with one cat, for potential savings on litter over time.
  • Sand-sized silica gel granules help prevent pooling at the bottom of the litter box.
  • Non-clumping formula features no added fragrance for sensitive households.
  • Micro crystals are soft on paws and easy to maintain—just scoop out solid waste and stir the crystals regularly and after every use.
Precautions

Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii, a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.

Instructions

Add approximately 4 inches of Frisco cat litter to a clean, dry litter box (this allows your cats to dig and cover their waste naturally). Scoop out waste daily, using a curved, slotted litter scoop. Throw away waste. Add more Frisco cat litter as necessary to maintain a depth of 4 inches. Additional Instructions

Only dispose of used cat litter in trash. Do not flush, bury or dispose of it outdoors, in gutters or storm drains to avoid environmental contamination. Not for internal use. Not meant for use as compost or as a traction aid. Store in a cool, dry place. Product filled by weight; some settling may occur.

Transition Instructions

For first time users, we recommend a gradual switch to our product. Start with 2/3 of your old cat litter and 1/3 of your new Frisco Litter. Over time, continue to add more of the Frisco Brand until your cat box has fully transitioned to this product.

FAQ

Where is this litter made?

Frisco Micro Crystal Unscented Non- Clumping Crystal Cat Litter is made in China and designed and tested to meet our high-quality standards.

What is the best way to transition litters?

Most cats will have little to any resistance to transitioning to Frisco Micro Crystals Cat Litter. If your cat does not use the new litter quickly and is reluctant to enter the litter box then try the following: o Start with filling the bottom of the litter pan with the bag of Frisco Micro Crystal litter then pour a thin layer of your cat’s previous cat litter on top. Your cat will naturally mix the litter over time and become acclimated to the new texture.

Can this litter be mixed with clay while transitioning?

For best results, do not mix with other cat clay litters or additives. Just pour a thin layer of the previous litter on top so your cat will enter and use the litter box. Your cat will begin mixing the litters with its paws and after several days you will not need to do anything besides scoop the solid waste and stir the litter.

How much litter should I fill my box with?

Fill clean litter box with 3-4 inches of Frisco Micro Crystal Cat Litter.

Can this litter be used in an automatic box?

This litter can be used in any automatic litter box that supports the use of crystal litter.

Is this litter low tracking?

Always use a litter mat with your crystal litter. Crystal litter is light weight and dry so it can have a cling effect to your cat’s paws and a mat will help collect crystals to avoid tracking. Cats may like the sand texture so much that they may get overzealous in covering so always use a litter mat outside the box to collect any flying crystals.

How often should I scoop?

Remove solid waste daily and dispose of in trash. Do not flush. Thoroughly stir/mix the litter to keep crystals fresh. Add more Frisco cat litter as necessary to maintain a depth of 3-4 inches.

Are the crystals biodegradable?

This is litter is not biodegradable and should be disposed in the garbage only.

What is the best way to dispose of used litter?

Dispose of used litter in trash. Do not flush

    Game changer

By Cait on Mar 5, 2021

Crystal cat litter is a game changer! 1. This is FANTASTIC in terms of odor. Sometimes I forget we have a litter box because I don't smell it at all anymore, which is even more impressive to me because this is 100% unscented litter. 2. It is equally as fantastic in terms of cleanup. Our cats are diggers and dig to the bottom of the box to potty no matter how much litter we use. Nothing sticks to the box anymore! No more gagging while cleaning clay litter! 3. This litter does not stick to kitty paws and our girls don't track litter all over the house anymore! The only downfalls I found for this litter are: 1. It is dusty, which isn't the greatest for kitties (or humans) with allergies Crystal cat litter is a game changer! 1. This is FANTASTIC in terms of odor. It is dusty, which isn't the greatest for kitties (or humans) with allergies. It is most noticeable when I add litter to the box or change the litter out completely, but I do notice it when I clean the litter also. The dust is comparable to dust from clay litter, but I think that can largely be attributed to this being a "fine" litter. 2. The litter is so fine that our kitties kick it out of the box easily and we have a high sided box. It isn't uncommon to find a pile of clean litter behind the box because they fling it over the box. All in all, I would recommend this litter to anyone wanting to give crystal litter a try. Personally, I will probably swap to a more coarse crystal litter to help cut down on the dust & kicking issues, but even with those issues, this still beats out traditional clay litter any day and I would absolutely use this again! … more

    pretty awesome but not perfect

    By alyson822 on Jan 22, 2021

I wanted to switch to crystals because scooping solid clay litter was painful on my tendinitis. The painful scooping problem has been completely eliminated. I LOVE that about this litter. Odor control also seems pretty solid. I have 3 cats using the box (it is not their only box, but I only switched one to the crystals as a test) and it’s far less smelly than my boxes that still use regular litter. The crystals themselves are also very lightweight, which I appreciate. The “comfy to step on” claim also seems to be true—for cats. They LOVE digging in this litter so it must feel nice to them. Doesn’t feel so great under my feet and it tracks like crazy, so make sure you have a good litter mat to I wanted to switch to crystals because scooping solid clay litter was painful on my tendinitis. I also find this pretty dusty when scooping/changing the box etc. but I noticed it is not advertised as dust free whereas the regular non-micro crystal litter is. Might try that next if I decide I don’t want to deal with the dust. Overall pretty good product and I do recommend it, especially if scooping is a challenge. … more

Easy cleanup and easy on their paws

By DeniseH on Mar 5, 2021

The micro crystals are the least invasive materials for kitty paws, it's more like sand than the larger crystals. It sifts very easily through a scoop and I find the unscented is perfect to keep a litter box smelling good for a few weeks (with 2 cats).

Best Crystal Litter I Have Used

By CatMama on Jan 16, 2021

I have tried them all - Kitty Poo Club, Pretty Litter, and many others. All crystal litter has dust and tracks, and most other types also track. I find that after I fill the box and my cats use it once the dust is gone. This litter has the best odor control. You just need to make sure that you stir very well each day and have the correct number of litter pans - one for each cat, plus one additional. Compared to the mail club litters, the cost of this litter makes it a great value. Better cost and each bag is bigger, making this litter about 1/3 the cost.

    Amazing product

By Alyssa on Jan 25, 2021

I have a hairless cat who can only use crystal litter as she gets a skin rash and it also has to be in scented. Regular crystals don’t clump and when they are tracked on the floor it feels like you’re stepping glass. This product is phenomenal. It not only clumps the urine but it’s is very fine so when tracked you won’t notice if you step on it. I will be ordering this from now on.

    Awesome Litter

By NicoleJ on Feb 16, 2021

This litter is awesome! We just got a kitten and have had this litter out for almost a month - absolutely no smell. It is super absorbent and so easy to scoop. Our kitten took to it immediately. There’s no scent (as advertised) and barely any dust. 10/10 would recommend!

    Works in my litter robot

By Crystalsrock on Feb 10, 2021

I moved from the kittypoo club where I learned about crystals to a litter robot and love not having clay clumps to scrap out. It could be less dust but it isn’t terrible. It is also easier to see if your cat has blood in urine, though it is not the type that changes color due to that condition.

    Very Dusty

By Kelli on Feb 7, 2021

We have 15 rescues and spend a lot of time working with cat liter. This liter is great in terms of odor control but has a major lingering dust after each cleaning that spreads. This is my only complaint, but it is a big one, unfortunately. We are heading back to the Ultra Micro Crystals if Chewy can keep it in stock.

    Horrible Litter

By DONOTBUYTHIS on Jan 13, 2021

This litter is a disaster - it goes EVERYWHERE and I mean EVERYWHERE....I have never dealt with this kind of mess. When you pour it in dust is massive and unless you have a scooper with micro holes - good luck cleaning your litter box. The litter trail the cats leave when the leave the box is horrendous - piles of micro litter everywhere and it gets under furniture etc......I have three bags and am so angry I bought them.

    This litter is just OK

By CatLadies on Jan 1, 2021

As crystal litters go this was fine, but nothing special. It does dry the poop up quickly so it's easy to scoop and doesn't smell, but urine smells can linger. It does produce dust (we had to use our air purifier) and our cats do track it around the house... including onto the bed. There's no perfect cat litter, but this one just didn't suit our needs.
