Make litter box duty a breeze with the pet-preferred Frisco Micro Crystal Unscented Non-Clumping Crystal Cat Litter. The formula is made with small, silica gel granules that absorb liquids on contact and help dry solid waste fast, resulting in fantastic odor control. For cats who prefer to potty on the side of the litter pans, the sand-sized silica gel granules help prevent pooling at the bottom. Daily maintenance is easy, simply remove the solid waste and stir the litter to help the absorbed liquid evaporate. The crystals will continue to absorb for a full month. Plus, this formula features no added fragrance making it ideal for sensitive households.

Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii, a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.

For first time users, we recommend a gradual switch to our product. Start with 2/3 of your old cat litter and 1/3 of your new Frisco Litter. Over time, continue to add more of the Frisco Brand until your cat box has fully transitioned to this product.
Add approximately 4 inches of Frisco cat litter to a clean, dry litter box (this allows your cats to dig and cover their waste naturally). Scoop out waste daily, using a curved, slotted litter scoop. Throw away waste. Add more Frisco cat litter as necessary to maintain a depth of 4 inches. Additional Instructions
Only dispose of used cat litter in trash. Do not flush, bury or dispose of it outdoors, in gutters or storm drains to avoid environmental contamination. Not for internal use. Not meant for use as compost or as a traction aid. Store in a cool, dry place. Product filled by weight; some settling may occur.
This litter is made in China and designed and tested to meet our high-quality standards.
Why did I receive a different product than what I saw on site and purchased?
It is the same product you purchased but we are undergoing a re-brand and are in the process of updating all the packaging. The old design is what you may have received but the new design is what you see on site.
Has the litter changed in any way?
No, it is the same great Frisco litter you expect. There have been no changes to the product ONLY the packaging design.
Most cats will have little to any resistance to transitioning to Frisco Crystals Cat Litter. If your cat does not use the new litter quickly and is reluctant to enter the litter box then try the following:
Start with filling the bottom of the litter pan with the bag of Frisco Crystal litter then pour a thin layer of your cats previous cat litter on top. Your cat will naturally mix the litter over time and become acclimated to the new texture.
Note: Frisco Crystals are non-clumping we recommend not topping with a clumping litter unless your cat is extremely skittish about using the new litter. Then use the thin layer poured on top to allow for the transition.
For best results, do not mix with other cat clay litters or additives. Just pour a thin layer of the previous litter on top so your cat will enter and use the litter box. Your cat will begin mixing the litters with its paws and after several days you will not need to do anything besides scoop the solid waste and stir the litter.
Fill clean litter box with 2 inches of Frisco Micro Crystal Cat Litter.
This litter can be used in any automatic litter box that supports the use of crystal litter.
Always use a litter mat with your crystal litter. Crystal litter is light weight and dry so it can have a cling effect to your cats paws and a mat will help collect crystals to avoid tracking. Cats may like the sand texture so much that they may get over zealous in covering so always use a litter mat outside the box to collect any flying crystals.
Remove solid waste daily and dispose of in trash. Do not flush. Thoroughly stir/mix the litter to keep crystals fresh.
This is litter is not biodegradable and should be disposed in the garbage only.
Dispose of used litter in trash. Do not flush.

This litter is very fine and tracks out of the box. I would say it tracks less than clay litter, but more than the bigger crystal litters. It is also extremely dusty and stays dusty, so as you clean you are literally breathing in urine filled dust. My last complaint is the longevity of the containment of smell. The larger crystals hold the smell for twice as long (literally) than this litter, even when scooped and stirred every day. On the positive side, this litter absorbs urine a lot better and doesn’t require stirring as often as the bigger crystals. I also still prefer this litter over clay, as the tracking doesn’t leave the room the litter box is in. It serves its purpose fine and my two cats didn’t hesitate to use the litter box when I switched to this, but I personally prefer the larger crystals.
Finding the right litter for a Boston Terrier Terrier being short for terrorist. She is a puppy and crazy active. We used dog litter and she spread the paper pellets everywhere. clumping litter kind of works, but sticks to the pan. Crystal litter seems to be the best option so far . She still uses her litter box as a racetrack, but clean up is easier. I have to change out the litter every 2 weeks, because she pees a lot more than any cat. Puppy poop stinks. The nice thing with the crystal litter is if you bury the poop, most of the odor is absorbed. I clean it out of the box after burying it for a few minutes, it keeps the odor to a minimum. I'd love to see more options for dog litter, for now cat litter will do.
I switched to this from Fresh Step crystal litter and there is a noticeable improvement. Much less odor, less pooling at the bottom of the boxes, and less tracking. It also is finer, so softer on kitty paws. So far I've been able to get 1 bag per month per cat, and that's a good value. There's some dust, but there was dust with Fresh Step, so I'd say it's worth the improvement in performance. I also like that it's white, because one of my boys has urinary issues, so I can catch any problems before they get bad enough he goes outside the box. I'm overall very happy I switched. I also didn't do the transition from one litter to the other, they all took to the new litter immediately (probably because it's so similar).
Gemini, our 11 year old, long haired tortoise shell, abruptly stopped pooping in her litter box in June of 2020. After almost 3 years, many vet trips, several different litter boxes, and various types of litter, this seemed to do the trick! Only time will tell if this problem is permanently solved, but so far this is the best response she has had to any litter since the problem started. I am impressed!
I have had cats for 25 years. (never more than 2 at a time) I have used every litter on the market, except crystal, because I felt it was too costly. UNTIL NOW. My go to in recent years has been clumping litter, which I used a full 25# box ($16), with one cat, every 2 weeks ($32-35 monthly). I had to scoop often, and always had a litter smell in the room where I kept the litter box (not urine, but just that smell of litter). My cat would go in the corner of the box, so even with the clumping litter, it would still stick at the bottom. There was always so much waste to dispose of, which doesn’t break down in the landfills. My scooper was always gross. The whole thing was just nasty and a chore I hated although I love my cat so much. So how could a small 8 pound bag at $18-$20 be better? I finally broke down and tried the litter. There was less dust than the clay litter, but still exists. To control it, I keep the bag closer to the ground (or bottom of box) rather than holding it higher in the air and pour a little more slowly. The crystals entirely absorb the urine (turns more yellow in color as it gets used). When I scoop, it is only dry fecal material. No more wet clumps of ammonia smelling material! Much less waste and much cleaner. My scooper is no longer nasty. There is no more urine buildup in the bottom of the litter box. No more need to frequently wash the litter box itself. No heavy litter waste to carry to the trash bin, this crystal is much lighter. There is no more “litter” smell. There is absolutely no smell at all. I have recently downsized to a small apartment and attempted to see how long I could stretch this litter. One 8# bag has lasted 6 weeks (one cat)!!!No cat smell at all. I could’ve even gotten another week or two out of it. I only need to scoop once a week, even though the directions recommend scooping daily, and mixing up the litter for even urine absorption. I cannot stress enough how much cleaner the scooping process is, how much the waste has reduced, and NO SMELL! As for the litter tracking, that happens with everything, and I have finally found a mat that keeps it from getting tracked all over the house. I tried to save a buck and tried the fresh step brand of crystals. The crystals are larger and it was a little cheaper. However, it didn’t absorb the urine as well so I had to change it fairly quickly, which in the long run just made me spend more money overall and more time cleaning the litter box, just like the clay stuff. No better, just prettier. This Frisco brand is the best. I pray chewy never takes it off the market!
I really wanted to like this litter. It does pretty well with liquid and odor absorption, but it's so fine, it sticks to the cats' feet, even with multiple mats and towels down. There is sand EVERYWHERE. I started vacuuming 2x a day and I still feel sand under my feet throughout my entire house. It's on the couch, all the beds, chairs, table tops - everywhere the cats go, the sand litter goes, too!
My cats love this litter. I have 4 litter boxes and this one is where they tend to go first. The problem is the dust. I don't smell my cats when they use it. I smell the dust. I havta wear a mask when scooping this litter cause dust goes everywhere and I can smell the dust throughout my home after. One thing I like about this litter is how easily it goes through the scoop its hands down the easiest to clean. The poop is also dried out more than my clay clumping and clay non clumping litters, making it a lot easier to stomach. One thing that's mildly annoying is the tracking. You don't see the tracking as the beads are white but you feel them. If this litter didn't try to choke you out with dust it would be my favorite. With how it currently is I don't believe I will be buying it again.
My male cat is extremely particular as to the litter he will use. Frisco micro crystal made his hit list. No longer any issues with him refusing to use the litter box, which is great for both him and I. Very little tracking of crystals unlike clay litters, so less clean up for me. Highly recommend this product.
It was really tacky that the company would ship a damaged item to me. It was leaking all over the box. The was a slit in the side of the bag with a piece of tape over it.
My cat has used crystals since we adopted him four years ago. I recently switched to this brand and I am going to have to switch back. It is incredibly dusty! I pour it into the tray outdoors but that is not enough. Every time I sift out his waste, clouds of dust! I imagine he experiences the same every time he digs in the litter. It can not be healthy to breathe.
