Be careful with fit
I have a Help "Em Up harness and bought this for to be a less expensive "one to wash, one to wear" item because my dog's front legs don't really need support. His measurements fit the medium, but the pad that goes between the legs was too big, so there was no way for him to urinate with the harness on without soaking the pad, which is counterproductive. The pad is approx 3 3/8 x 7 1/2 inches and basically a rectangle, and there is no contouring to tuck it between the legs. The other product we have is better in that area, albeit many times the cost. Their product comes in a version for females and most males as well as a version for males whose "male parts" are farther forward, and the latter of those would be more likely to get a successful fit with this.
Good idea, bad design
I was hoping the other reviews were wrong when they were referring to the straps that didn't stay in place. Unfortunately they were correct. The hind leg harness is a great idea, but a poor design. The straps do not stay tight. Because of this, the straps near the genitals do not stay tight. Therefore the dog would pee on them. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this item.
Worst design ever
This is an awful product. The straps don't stay put once adjusted so the harness just gets more and more loose until it falls off the dog. This actually caused a very dangerous situation where we thought the dog was securely harnessed but it malfunctioned and she ran out into a busy street. Very frustrating that this is even being sold. The vet couldn't believe how crappy this product was either.
Fits wrong
This literally is picking my dog up by his private part - Of which he was having none of it It obviously rides too far back on the body -Ridiculous
Useless - poor design
One star is too high a rating. The straps won't stay adjusted, the weiner cup won't go in the right place, it keeps sliding off his butt, the way the rear straps are designed, they're gonna get pooped on.
Good but could be improved
This harness definitely helps the way it's supposed to but the straps are not very high quality and do not stay tightened the way they should. Re-adjusting straps for each use makes it less of a convenience but it helps out well for my large Saint Bernard
Works really
This harness works really well when hooked to a front harness. My only complaint is that the clips that tighten or loosen the straps don’t stay in place well at all. I ended up using gorilla tape around then to keep them from coming loose.
Worked Great After Surgery
#ReceivedFreeProduct I have a 95 pound black lab who had to have surgery on his right hind leg. He had a luxating patella. After surgery it was challenging to get him outside and in and out of the car this rear lift harness came in very handy. I was concerned about this hurting him and him being able to use the bathroom as it is secured at the very rear of my dog. I was very pleased that this worked so well and it did not restrict or hurt my dog in any way.

#ReceivedFreeProduct I had a bit of a time trying to get this on my dog. She doesn't like to have anything on her so it wasn't easy. Plus, I was a little confused about how it goes on. I did see a video of how it worked online though. It is good quality and feels like it is meant to last. The handle on the top makes it easy to lift up the dog. I am a pet sitter and also own a 15-year-old lab. My lab is having some trouble getting up the steps at times so this will come in handy when that happens.
good for senior dogs
