mine did not come with a leather stopper as shown in the photo so the loop changes sizes while in use which is less than ideal. Also rope is not very supple. would have rather spent more on something that was of more quality.
This leash is perfectly adequate for the price. It is not my personal preference as it just feels cheaper along side the "name" brand. I would return it but it's fine for a backup. If you need something to go over your dog's neck that won't break this is fine.
I am very happy with my purchase. the lead works well.. It's only been a short amount of time so I can't tell if it will last, but right now, I have no complaints. I bought the 1/2" and I wonder if the 1/4" would have been tighter and more effective, that's my only wonder.
we had been using a martingale collar before and he pulls so hard. putting this lead on he is better, he still pulls, but he also listens better!
Great leash for training your dog to stop pulling and pat attention to YOU while walking.. highly recommend
Way better than a harness and safer training experience
My dog Trainer recommended this Slip Leash to use when my dog misbehaves. It's easy to use, and I can step on the leash to prevent my dog from running from me when he's in trouble. He knows when he's in trouble, and if I can't grab the leash in time. I can step on it, and it stops my dog in his tracks. I highly recommend this leash for training purposes.
I love the strength of the leash for control but wish it came in smaller proportions for medium dogs.
Love the ease and convenience of this leash, a little easier to slip over my dog's head instead of trying to clip a leash to him sometimes. I would say this is probably better for dogs that don't pull very hard because it does seem to cause a lot of discomfort when he pulls (he's still a puppy though). Also be careful as it can come loose and the dog can run away much easier than with a regular leash.
be sure to keep the slip collar lose and only tighten briefly for correction
