Clean mat
This mat worked out so well for my cats food dish that I bought a second one for their water fountain. I used to walk into my kitchen and find cat food and water skewed all over the kitchen floor. This mat contained all the food on the mat and none on the floor. I can easily pick up the dishes and dump the crumbs from the mat into the trash, since it is flexible, and then put their dishes back. It has also contained all the water splashed from the fountain on the mat, so no more wet feet for me. Love these easy to clean mats!
A bit disappointed
I purchased this mat to go with the elevated 8 cup dog feeder by the same company. However the feeder does not fit inside the mat easily and generally hangs over the edge of the mat. I have tried several times to adjust the legs of the feeder (squeeze them) for a good fit but as soon as my dog uses the feeder at least one of the legs jumps onto the edge of the mat again. The mat needs to be a bit bigger to insure the feeder stays on the mat.
Not for us
It's a sound idea if you have well behaved pets. We have a 4 month old large breed puppy. She destroys everything and this even ended up in her poop. Every morning there was bits and pieces of this all around the floor. It's a very thin mat, so it needs to be in one spot without anything that can tear it. And obviously, not for a destructive puppy. But it does stop water from running on the floor when it isn't torn. I give it a two because my cat hasn't torn hers yet, but I can't recommend this.
Love the mats
I am restricted when it comes to bending over because of my spine. So I have bought 2 of these mats. I have to drop the plates 3” from the ground. They keep the floor around them clean. They are really easy to clean. Glad I bought them
This mat is the best!
Soft rubber and thin with a nice ridge around the side. Absolutely does not move around, and I have a big, robust eater. Catches all the drips from my dog who loves to splash. Easy to clean - I take it outside and spray it with the hose. I never had a dog mat before so did not know what to expect. This is a super design, and I would highly recommend. I purchased the large mat to have room around the dog dishes.
Food Bowl Necessity
Bought these for our two cats because sometimes they can be messy eaters. This rubber mat is well-made, durable, and easy to clean. Glad I bought them.
Thin
I expected it to be more sturdy/thicker. I would not have purchased if I had seen this in person at a store. Not a fan.
Great Food Mat for Cats
I bought the medium size mat in the pretty aqua, which holds two (2) 5" dia. elevated food bowls + 6" dia. water bowl with a comfortable margin on all sides to catch any spills. This mat keeps food crumbs off my floor and it has a lip so it catches any water spills. I sanitize and rinse this mat 3 times/day and let air dry. Great mat and does what it promises.
Good but not great
This is our second placemat for dog food as our 15 pound Aussiedoodle puppy wrestled with and took a bite out of the first one. I like that it has a lip on the edge to prevent water from spilling onto the floor since he likes to dump over his water bowl on purpose.
