Easy to assemble and store, my cat ADORES it
I purchased this with the hope that I would be able to take my cat outside with me every now and then so she could safely enjoy some time outdoors. It popped up instantly, is lightweight and easy to handle and she LOVES it so much that I can't even put it away when it's in the house because she thinks it's her little "den" or bedroom. I put a soft blanket in there for her and a few toys, and she spends hours in this every day (I leave it unzipped so that she can go in and out when it is in the house). She enjoyed it outside also, but I have been AMAZED how much she wants to lie in there throughout the day. (Again, it's left unzipped when she's inside so that she can stay in there as she feels like it.) Definitely recommend this product.
LOVE LOVE LOVE
This pen is absolutely wonderful!!! We love to use this when we’re gone for an entire work day. We tried “out of crate” time and our dog ended up tearing apart our rug and peeing in multiple spots on the floor. We wanted a solution that kept him in one (rug-free) area. We tried a gate, but the stinker jumped over it!! This solved all our problems. It gives our dog a space to move that’s larger than his crate and there’s a top, so even if he tried jumping out, it wouldn’t work. The bottom is waterproof, too, so if he ever would pee or when he spills his water, it’s super easy to clean up. It can be difficult to fold back up into the bag, but that’s a small price to pay for something that works so wonderfully! If you’re looking for an “out of crate, but not ready for full roaming privileges” solution, this is what you need!!
What I found
This item is very good. It is very sturdy and is exactly like the pictures. What I found when I was setting it was it did not want to spring open like the video I struggled with getting the wires to spring up. It also was hard for me to get it put back up for the same reasons. It was very stiff and awkward getting it back down. I would watch a video on you tube before putting it back up.
Perfect for what I need
I bought the 42/26 size and it is perfect for my 50lb dobie-mix rescue dog. She seemed to like squeezing herself into my 15lb chiweenie mix's playpen so I decided to get one for her. That one came from a different vender and the chiweenie ripped through the mesh in seconds. I am very happy with this one from Chewy. The mesh and fabric is much sturdier at a comparable price. She has had some tummy issues so this works much better than a metal crate as I can clean up much easier if she has an episode. I use these for them to sleep in and if the cheweenie's ever falls apart even more (its such cheap material it probably will soon) I will get another one of these from Chewy.
Great buy!
Couldn't be happier with this purchase! It's light enough that I can carry it around the house for our puppy to have as a safe space. And it's large enough for her dog bed to make it feel cozy! The side zip open and stay up, which our our loves for during the day where she can go in and out. It's also great for the top to zip off/on. We are using this as her crate for sleeping in our room at night and it's perfect!
Frisco Dog/Cat play Pen
I purchased the 48" Pen which is a nice size for a large cat, very nice quality and comes with a bag to store & carry it. Highly recommend, I however I have a very smart cat who keeps head butting the doors and popping them! I now trying to figure how to cover them so he cannot get out!
Hard to fold up
The play pen itself is nice. The main downside is that it took me forever to figure out how to fold and put it away. I’m pretty sure I accidentally broke it. The instructions do not help whatsoever. It took me an hour to figure out how to fold this back down and I broke a nail in the process LOL. Got it to fold down flat enough that I could put it back into the bag but the bag couldn’t zip up all the way. If you’re smart at figuring these things out, then go with this product. If not, then pay extra for another brand that’s easier to put away
Major issue with the zippers
While i love the idea of a puppy playpen, the zippers don't "lock" on this one. You can take your finger and slide the zipper apart. Needless to say, it didn't take my 8 week old mini poodle long to figure it out and she managed to let herself out of her playpen. I now have to clip the zipper pulls together with a carabiner. I had a different brand playpen for my other poodle pup 4 years ago and never had a problem with the zippers or her letting herself out. Trying to fold it up is another issue, but my other puppy playpen was difficult too. Other than the zipper issue, I'm pretty happy with this product.
Setup OK; collapse not OK
This contraption is so easy to setup and the pup goes in and out with ease. However, collapsing the playpen borders on the impossible. Luckily, my friend spent an hour figuring it out and saved the day, whereas I was ready to throw it out. Not sure if I ever want to use it again.
impossible to fold
I am moving and want to take this with me but it’s impossible to fold so now I can’t fit it in my car and I’m gonna have to throw it out. This is why I’m giving it one star because it doesn’t function in the way that sustainable.
