If I only need 2 panels for 56" space can one of those panels be the door?

My archway is wooden and 68inches long. Can u shorten it to make it exactly 68inches and is it easy to attach and unattach to wood?

This gate measures 30-inches tall and fits spaces 35.5 to 79.5 inches wide. With one panel, the gate can fit spaces 35.5 inches wide. With two panels, the gate fits spaces up to 57.5 inches. With three panels, the gate fits spaces up to 79.5 inches. Installation is required. A step-by-step instruction video is available on the product page. Only a pencil and a screwdriver are required to mount the gate to walls. Do not use power tools.

Sturdy, Stylish and Functionality All in One

I adopted a puppy just over a month ago. He out-grew the initial kennel I was using very quickly, so I ordered the Frisco by Chewy 8 panel gate system. I was blown

I adopted a puppy just over a month ago. He out-grew the initial kennel I was using very quickly, so I ordered the Frisco by Chewy 8 panel gate system. I was blown away with not only the price, but how it looked, and how easy it was to install all by myself. The gate made it so much easier to move from the space without having to do a step over with an active puppy going insane. I loved it so much that in less than two weeks, I ordered the 3 panel gate system to change his area to include an additional point of access when allowed. I was wow’ed once again. So I ordered yet another extra-wide single doorway gate that easily fits a variety of size doorways with the included extensions. While it is pressure mounted, it was just as easy to put into place. An extra kudos goes to Chewy themselves for their expedient delivery! Each order was received within a day or two of ordering and in perfect condition! I don’t know how I could have survived without my “gated” home. Thank you Frisco for the excellent product and Chewy-the puppy and I consider you our go-to! Thank you Chewy!

Replacement parts not available.

These are great when it comes to configuring them. The are easy to set up and considering their construction are light weight. However, I used them as a play pen

These are great when it comes to configuring them. The are easy to set up and considering their construction are light weight. However, I used them as a play pen for growing German Shepherd puppies. The plastic parts that hold the panels together and ratchet will crack and break. This is understandable considering the use-case, but the terrible thing is that there are no replacement parts available...at all. If they were, I could use these panels for years. I initially used them for a dog after surgery...which was great. So I expanded when I brought home the puppies. The panels held up until they reached about 50 lbs and started body slamming each other. Please make the extra connector parts available. I had to buy a smaller 3 panel version and strip it for parts and use zip ties to get me through until they could leave the nursery. Now...I have a very large panel system that I would LOVE to keep, but will most likely go on the recycling truck. Please make the spare parts available. FYI-I used 3M plastic welding kits to help me put it all back together. It didn't work, but with the zip ties, I was able to make it work for a bit.

One small input I would like to add is that when considering this product, each of the 3 metal pieces to the gate are a fixed dimension and cannot be altered in length, other than putting them together to create the size you need. Worked perfect for my needs.

Ease of Use

Simple to install. Hardest part was deciding how to angle sides so it fit the opening. Closes behind you so you really do just walk through.

Works as intended

I ordered this gate because I got a new German Shepherd puppy. She's not trained to stay in the yard yet like my other ones. I wanted to be able to sit on my porch

I ordered this gate because I got a new German Shepherd puppy. She's not trained to stay in the yard yet like my other ones. I wanted to be able to sit on my porch and drink coffee in the mornings without them whining inside to be out with me. Lol. After several adjustments I finally got it working right. To begin with the latch was too close to the gate part and I had to close it manually. After a little twisting I finally got it to latch on its own. I wouldn't trust a 80 lb German Shepherd jumping up against this, but for my smaller dogs and the puppy it's great. By the time she gets that big I will no longer need the gate.

I have the same style gate for a door way and it works great, this one because of the length is not very sturdy. I bought this to close off the wide entry to my living room. The span of this gate causes it to flex a bit too much and makes it flimsy. It is just not substantial enough for its length. The price and look is great, and if you have a small dog it will work just fine, but if your dog is large like mine or just heavy pawed it will not.
