I recently tried the FUR4 deShedding Tool (Long Hair version) on my 9-year-old Golden Retriever mix. Comfort & Safety: What sets this apart from other brushes are the four combs with built-in safety nubs. In the past, I’ve used more aggressive tools that remove hair faster but can be abrasive on the skin. The FUR4 is much gentler; it effectively lifts the undercoat and loose fur without any pulling or scratching. It is so relaxing that my dog actually laid down and started to fall asleep during his grooming session! Perfect for Seniors: Because it’s so gentle, I found it to be incredibly senior-friendly. I was able to groom sensitive areas, like his hips, without causing him any discomfort. The ergonomic handle also makes it very easy and comfortable for me to hold. Packaging & Instructions: The tool arrived with clear printed instructions and a handy QR code for online tips. I also love that it includes a sturdy storage case to protect the combs when it’s not in use. If you are looking for an effective de-shedding tool that prioritizes your dog’s comfort—especially for older pups—I highly recommend the FUR4!

This is a great tool for my long haired Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy. He is only 11 months old so his hair has not grown even close to what its going to be in another year. Still this tool did a nice job removing the light undercoat he has right now and I can tell it will be a huge asset as he gets his full coat. He was a little scared of it at first, but he got used to it quickly and enjoyed being brushed with it. His ears seemed fluffier and fuller after using it. I am going to get a lot of use out of this nice product. Especially living on the coast with the hot and humid weather. Removing the undercoat will greatly reduce shedding, but will also keep him cooler. It is easy and comfortable to hold. It is nicely sized so that it covers a good area each pass and has a very nice carrying case. Easy to clean, too!

The FUR4 Long Hair Dog Deshedding Tool is an effective deshedding tool that’s unlike anything I’ve used before. It has a comfortable, ergonomic handle that provides a secure grip while brushing, which makes a big difference during longer grooming sessions. It also comes with a very sturdy storage case, which is great for keeping the tool protected when it’s not in use and helps prevent the comb teeth from getting damaged. There is a bit of a learning curve. This tool is different from most deshedding brushes because it features four separate combs rather than a single row. Once you get the hang of it, though, it’s incredibly easy to use — and surprisingly effective. I genuinely thought our dogs were already well brushed… turns out I was very wrong. This tool removed so much hair I could’ve made an entirely new German Shepherd. Overall, it does exactly what it’s designed to do and does it well. Very effective, well made, and I’m extremely satisfied with the results.

Not for 3 coat breeds

I was really hoping this brush would do the trick for our BRT! It did NOT. I’m sure it would work for a regular fur type dog, just not for a 3 different type coat
