I just need a new cover, my dog chewed the zipper. Do you have the cover for the jumbo for sale?

I have three dogs so I'm searching for a dog bed with material that doesn't 1) trap the dog hair/dander and 2) trap odors. Does this canvas trap odors like the fluffy cotton beds do?

In regards to “trapping hair/dander,” that is going to depend more on the breed, as small hairs can sneak through from time to time. As for the canvas/odor issue, since it is not a plushy/cottony material, it should do a good job of keeping the odor/dog oils from seeping into the bed, so as long as you wipe the cover down with a warm wash cloth from time to time, that should alleviate that issue.

Is this bed chew-proof? my dog rips open every bed she’s ever had.

I bought this to sit on the back covered porch. The cover is looser than expected but the padding is decent. When I opened the package, I noticed a strong chemical from the bed cover. It's been sitting on the porch, outside for over a week, and I still smell the chemical smell every time I walk out the back door. Phineas doesn't seem too bothered by the smell and sits on the bed anyway, but it is stinky. I hope it fades.

I just got these beds a couple days ago and it hasn’t rained so I can’t attest for water proofing. But, I can discuss the rest. I got a medium and a large. I have a household of 4 dogs of all different sizes, and I also pet sit. The dogs definitely like them, including my rickety seniors who need thicker beds to be comfortable. The “medium” is pretty roomy for my 12 lb chihuahua, and fits two snuggly 15-20 lb dogs easily. It also fits my silken windhound who is 43 lbs but skinny, although if he lays on his side his whole body doesn’t fit (he doesn’t care). The large fits all the small dogs, of course, but relatively comfortably fits my 65 lb arthritic senior greyhound. She likes it, but she would fit more comfortably in the next size up. The dogs seem to definitely like the beds and keep trying to get on them, and it’s nice to have beds I can keep outside that will be hopefully overall waterproof and easy to wipe down. If I wasn’t poor, I’d get another. Definitely a good choice!

My dog loves to tear stuffed things to shreds. The first dog bed we brought home for her lasted about 4 minutes. This one, she has not really tried to tear up. She does not like the bare texture of the fabric. However, we covered it with a bed sheet, and now she sleeps on it comfortably as her first choice of place every night!

This bed is used outside on our deck. We live at high altitude and the sun is bright. The cover faded considerably. Which I think was normal. And after a year, the cover shredded. Just bought this second mat/bed. Our dog loves it. We bought size Jumbo so she is really comfy in it. She weighs 56-60 pounds and is a lab. She jumped right on her new replacement! This is a nice thick orthopedic foam and is very supportive. Our dog is very athletic and active and thus gives great support when she chooses to be outside. We did bring the bed in at night and in bad weather. Definitely recommend.

Don't waste your money

The material rips underneath making the waterproofing useless. Hair gets embedded into the fibers. The fabric gets all fuzzy and worn very quickly. After washing

Our standard poodle has been recently diagnosed with advanced kidney disease. We love spending as much time as possible on our patio in the summer, and she always wants to be right next to us. But the concrete patio is not comfortable for her, and she has trouble getting on and off the chairs. I decided to build her a raised outdoor bed, and bought this mattress for it. I built the bed frame to match the size of the bed for a perfect fit. She was hesitant at first, but after I guided her up on it, she took right to it. She appears to be very comfortable in it. It is large enough for our other dog, a mini schnauzer, to sleep on it with her, and small enough to fit under the eves. I wish I would have picked a different color, but the dogs don't care, and I'm happy my girl can hangout with us outdoors and be comfortable.

It did not last 12 hours. The cover is so thin it ripped after the first few circles my dog took to "find his spot". I guess if you have a dog that just lays down and never moves, it will be ok, but mine like to turn circles until they get their space just right. So, literally after having it one night, the cover was not usable.
