We feared our car would not like the playpen- she LOVES it! Do note: we had to weight it down or she could knock it on its side. So we made a floor of plywood (2 pieces) and put carpet on that. Now it’s stable, won’t tip, and we can set it out on our upper deck with us and not fear for the cats safety.
The idea is great. The size is good. The material is way too thin and the zipper is cheap/poor quality. If they would make it a little more durable with a heavier mil material and zipper it would be excellent. The first week the zipper would leave a gap when zipped. Closed at the top and bottom and opened in the middle, just like the bad jacket you had growing up
This item is too flimsy, in my estimation, at least for the purpose I had in mind. I foster kittens and thought it might be ideal to give them a bit more space and, at the same time, keep them contained. However, I am almost afraid to use it for fear them will rip it apart the first time it's used. Additionally, even following the directions on the box, I could not twist it back into the small circle to fit it back into the box. I might use it for an older cat if I wanted to take it outside and lay in the sun, but that's about the only use I'd have for it.
I originally bought this for a senior cat to recuperate from surgery and ended up using it for our new foundling. This is the XL size and bigger than she needs but it has been a perfect habitat for Missy. She has a litterbox; bed; food and water; toys; and still room to play. Missy was found on the street at 5 weeks old and I wanted to keep her separated from the rest of the herd until she was tested for FIV and parasites. We are still using it while she continues to improve her litter box skills. It has been a perfect way to introduce the rest of our cats to her and I use it to put her down for naps (otherwise I don't think she'd ever stop running around. The PlayPen was easy to assemble; has front and top zipper entrances; detailed instructions on how to pop it back down.
Our cat absolutely loves her little tent. We tried it in the house first to see how she did. We plan to use this when camping. Easy to fold up if you know how to do it.
I love the size of this playpen but the configuration makes us difficult to maneuver and fold up. The bottom is not even water resistant. Puppy urine goes right through it to the floor underneath.
It came in a nice royal blue. Easy set up. It is large holds a 20 pound puppy and an older dog so they can play and hang out. The problem is that it is cheaply made. What I mean is that the materials are cheap. The playpen has open view. The views are covered by a cheap mesh screen. I bought the playpen for an almost 20 pound puppy who is almost 5 months old. I bought this for a puppy. I put him in it and he walked around he checked it out. He scratched one of the mesh screens and ripped a big hole in it. He is a puppy. He is a big fluffy puppy. He doesn’t have strong claws. And he ruined the playpen in less than a hour. The zipper is cheap and when trying to close the playpen it almost comes off the track. Very disappointed.
Absolutely love this. I put 5 kittens in here with their stuff. They have a blast and are safe. It's nice not having to worry and knowing they are safe and sound
This pen is VERY spacious and is a no setup style. Its just like a popup tent. Its also very light weight. The material is not waterproof so if you are using it as we did to raise a kitten, put something underneath in case of spills/accidents.
We sometimes have to evacuate due to hurricanes. I bought this playpen for my furbaby so she feels safe when we reach our destination. It’s lightweight, roomy enough to put her litter box and still be roomy enough for her to play. and she loves it! It’s easy to put away too!
