About Fussie Cat

Co-Created by Cats

Instead of just assuming what kind of food cats will like, Fussie Cat lets them call the shots. Each recipe is co-created and taste-tested by cats to make sure your own kitty will love it. Aside from being highly palatable, Fussie Cat wet and dry foods are full of quality meats like boneless chicken, duck, tuna, shrimp and prawns to make sure your little carnivore is getting the protein-rich, feline-appropriate diet she needs.

Made for Meat Lovers

If there's one thing cats crave, it's the rich taste of pure meat. It makes sense, because they're obligate carnivores. Your four-legged friend probably lets you know exactly what she likes, and it's sure to be fish, poultry or meat. Fussie Cat has farm-raised poultry, ocean fish from the South Pacific, and a whole range of interesting seafood options like Threadfin Bream, smoked tuna, mussels, clams and anchovies.

Physiologically Correct Diets

Knowing that cats need meat protein to survive, Fussie Cat developed formulas that they call Physiologically Correct. As true carnivores, their bodies are extremely efficient in processing meat, so 20% of their diet should come from animal proteins. Fussie Cat's foods start with meat, are low in carbs and include a complete spectrum of essential vitamins and minerals. You can be sure your kitty's getting all the necessary amino acids, protein and other nutrients.

Kitty's Choice

With two canned food lines and several tempting dry food options, your cat can always have the dinner she prefers. Fussie Cat Premium is a tuna-based menu that pairs this popular fish with chicken or seafood delicacies. Super Premium is made for chicken lovers with boneless chicken, low sodium levels and plenty of omegas. Market Fresh dry foods are crunchy and delicious, with proteins full of vitamin B12, and antioxidant-rich cranberries and blueberries.

Outstanding Quality Control

Fussie Cat makes their top-quality foods in an FDA-registered kitchen—the same kitchen that produces canned food that's fit for people to eat. Thorough quality inspections are conducted daily for food safety, heavy metals, pathogens, contamination and pesticides, so the end product is everything that you should expect it to be.

About Fussie Cat

Fussie Cat uses a carnivore-friendly, meat-first philosophy to provide wholesome meals that are full of the animal proteins your cat needs to thrive. Meat is always the main course, and carbohydrates only appear in limited amounts. They've created recipes that not only pass the strictest international food safety tests, but also kitty taste tests with flying colors. Cats from all corners of the U.S. will find all their favorites in Fussie Cat's Market Fresh dry foods and flavorful wet foods.

Answer by AthenaJul 09, 2025
While carrageenan is generally considered safe in the amounts consumed in food, some studies have raised concerns about its potential health effects. Recently the fussie cat tuna and salmon in aspic wet food is containing large chunks of dark brown organ meat and my cats won't eat it. I've been throwing it out and it's expensive food. I'm going to switch to a different brand and just hope my cats don't starve to death before I can find one they like.

Uber-picky diabetic cat LOVES it - happy cat, happy mama

It’s a 2x/day struggle to get my fur baby to eat enough so we can give him his 2x/day insulin. It’s not diabetic-level, but it’s the best of all the options

It’s a 2x/day struggle to get my fur baby to eat enough so we can give him his 2x/day insulin. It’s not diabetic-level, but it’s the best of all the options. I e tried literally dozens of brands/flavors and (so far) this is the ONLY high quality food I don’t have to worry about him eating. Hurray!

High Quality wet cat food

From appearance and Mischa's response this is a great product. Too expensive for every day for me, but I'll get it as often as I can.

My cats love anything Fussie Cat. There is not a flavor they refuse. Each can does have real tuna, chicken, a few anchovies, kidney pieces, etc. so that's always great to see. I would like to note that they do not like the other Fussie Cat versions such as the Formula, Black Label, Gold or Fine Dining. Only the Premium. I think there is something going on with the other versions mentioned because my cats usually love Fussie Cat-Anything, but they sniffed and walked away from these other "versions." They are less expensive so maybe you get what you pay for? Or maybe it is just my cats being cats. In any case, I thought I should note that there really is a difference in the various offerings and in my opinion, the Premium is the best.

Cat's Won't Eat Dark Pieces

I, like other reviewers, have to remove the dark pieces in the can in order for my cats to eat it. Looking for another brand.
