Excellent quality cat food that all 4 of our current cats love. Have been using this cat food for many years and though it's a bit more expensive, it's worth it to me for the quality and that fact that all our cats eat it, but also don't over-eat it.
These kibbles seem to be more nutritious and healthy for sure but both my cats started gaining weight after switching foods. I researched a lot into the ingredients and turns out this food only has 1% fiber content vs the 4% in other dry foods. Fiber is what helps your pet to feel full. Without it they just keep eating. So unless you really take portion control seriously you will see your cat gain weight. I am switching away from it for now because obesity is more serious than not having the perfect diet. I may consider switching back if the new formula adds in more fiber.
Something has changed with Petcurean. The pet now brand was suddenly making one of my cats sick. She's only 6. She had a full workup at the vets with no issues. Bought the go solution and still its making her sick, but now my other cat is vomiting from it.
Switched to this product for a diabetic cat, kept it for my other cats, they love it. It is especially good for fat cats trying to slim down for winter.
First off the food is great, amazing ingredients and my two cats love the flavor. Sadly after only a few months of feeding them this food one of them, she's 10 years old, has become very fat. Nothing has changed but the food, so time to find another one and Hopefully they like it as much, it took a few try's to find this one.
Please read other reviews and use extreme caution. I read about this cat food on CatFoodDB. The list of ingredients seems to be quality with high protein. After about 3 weeks of feeding this food, one of my cats had a seizure. He has no health problems and the only thing that changed was the food. I don't know what's going on with this brand as others have stated, but I will no longer buy from this company. The price also keeps going up.
I tried this brand as one of the favorites keeps jacking the prices up. Over $70 for 12 pounds? Really? The ingredients list looks decent for a kibble so gave it a try. 2 cats started vomiting within 30 minutes. 1 cat basically had a seizure, he froze and collapsed and he's our most healthy, was just to the Vet for regular checkups. 2 cats are literally losing their fur. My orange girl Lucy looks like she has a mohawk over her entire body. 2 had horrific, smelly diarrhea. I won't even donate this to the cat shelter. There is seriously something wrong with this company. There were no other changes to their food. Thankfully I had plenty of their other kibble.
My cats just eat this up!! The quality is consistent and the cats are sleek and healthy. I buy the salmon flavor as well and keep some in a plastic bottle. I shake it and the cats come running for "treats". :) The customer service is among the best I've encountered - very friendly and helpful. I'm on a fixed income and when the price jumped due to inflation they sent me coupons.
After two years of pleading for Queso to eat wet food, I've finally accepted that he's a dry food cat. :/ I mixed the 16lb of Go! Carnivore with the bundle of Nulo freeze dried food and Queso LOVES it. He's currently eating like a madman and growls if I get too close to him.
When my cats ate this dry around 1 month, they go to the pee frequency more than before and do not have urine!!b!
