Pets with sensitive stomachs may need to transition a little more slowly to avoid any digestive upset. If you introduce the new food too quickly and your cat or dog experiences some digestive upset, just back up to the previous transition amount where your pet wasn’t having any trouble and feed that amount for a few more days before continuing with the transition. Once your pet is eating all Halo food, if you switch between Halo recipes, consider a 2- or 3-day transition to minimize stomach upset.
When pet parents want to give their pets a holistic food that’s made with pure, natural, whole ingredients, they choose Halo. Their recipes use responsibly sourced whole meats and non-GMO vegetables, and never any meat meals, animal by-products or added growth hormones. It’s exactly what nature intended—highly digestible ingredients that are slow-cooked in small batches to create cat food with less ash, more bioavailable nutr
What’s in Your Cat’s Bowl?
With Halo, you won’t see a “meat meal” hiding anywhere in the ingredients, and there’s no corn, wheat, wheat gluten, rice or artificial colors, preservatives or flavors. Here’s what you will find:
Holistic Whole Protein:
Salmon, whitefish, chicken or turkey that’s slow-cooked provides a more digestible source of protein with up to 16 times less ash than rendered meat.
Humanely Sourced:
Cage-free poultry raised without antibiotics, pasture raised beef from farms that raise animals naturally and wild caught fish from sustainable fisheries.
Non-GMO Produce:
Fruits and vegetables from farms that refuse to use genetically modified seeds that rely heavily on chemical fertilizers and herbicides to produce crops.
The Proof Is in the Poop
Because each recipe is made with whole meat, it’s easier for your cat to digest. With Halo, more of the nutrients stay in and go to use inside your cat’s body, so less is likely to come out as waste. Since less is coming out as waste, your cat is utilizing more of the nutrients in Halo cat food.

As far as dry food for cats I was told by my vet to try to get my other cat off of dry kibble it isn’t good for kitties and it’s not part of a cats natural diet, but my kitty loves dry so I just try to put her on the best nourishing dry cat food I could find and this is the one, she loves
it after mixing with her other dry she loved more.. not as good for her and giving her more wet knowing it’s better for her not better for my pocket book but this she now loves has probiotics for her digestion, even her cat box is better smelling better, my dads kitty I adopted I took after my dad passed was so sick due to her cheap dry kibble my dad was feeding her. She was sick for years. I started her on the kibble She is happier better looking, coat and health 360
Turn around so amazing what we just think is normal for this cat was from the diet, food it everything so get the best it’s not cheap but it solved a lot of health issues now and down the road pay now or pay in vet bills later

It is NOT chicken-free
This item is listed as chicken free. The ingredients listed to do include chicken. However, the bag I received lists Chicken fat among the ingredients. My cat has an allergy and now I have a 6lb bag of food he can't eat! Please update the listing so others don't make the same mistake.

New Formula
My cat used to LOVE his halo hard food. But it seems that when they changed their branding, they changed their recipe as well. He is a very food driven boy and will eat just about anything lol but when I served him this he wouldn't eat it. I looked at the ingredients and compared them to the previous bag, and they are different.

New manufacturing company
I loved Halo, my pets loved Halo and were doing really well, nice coat, no throwing up. It has all changed. I used to get the seafood medley for sensitive stomachs. Was referred by Halo to this as a similar product. Ingredients have completely changed. Cats throwing up. Just saw this “HALO Announces New Production Facility
New Factory in the Guangxi Region of China to Reduce Leadtimes and Increase Manufacturing Capacity”
I am looking for a new product that hasn’t “sold us out” and is still using trusted sources for the food. Many of our trusted pet foods are selling their companies. I want my pets to eat healthy food I can trust. I have lost my faith in this company. Apparently their bottom line is more important than our pets. So sad!

Excellent food for two cats w/ different issues
One of my cats is a very picky eater with skin allergies (the orange, named Lady) and the other has a sensitive stomach and will vomit/get diarrhea if the wind blows the wrong way (the grey, named Melog). Also, the vet said they were both getting a little tubby, whoops! They were previously eating Tiki Cat dry food before, which I believe was a little too rich for them. This Halo indoor cat food has kept their weight normal, has kept the one cat from getting her skin issues, and has not upset the other one's stomach. It's a bit expensive, but you get what you pay for with this food, in my opinion.
