This is a type of pepper spray designed for use with dogs. The Capsaicinoids content on this spray is 0.35% which is the minimum range for dog attack sprays. Sprays for use on people range from 1.00% to 1.33%.

Can I put it on items so my puppy won't chew on that item?

This spray is intended to repel and subdue dogs when sprayed into their eyes or nose. It is not intended to be sprayed on other areas or items.

Well we got attacked by a german shepperd again, and my citronella spray did not work. I am tired of people getting these " breeds " and they have no time to train and socialize. Four time now we been attacked by GS and one malinois, sadly for them they had to deal with me and my pack. but mostly me. I hope I never have to use it because I would hater to use it on a dog but you know who deserves it more ? The owner. Easy to carry, the clip keeps the direction in case you do not have time to point, so it is pointed by memory, if you get this product learn how to pull it out of your pocket or where ever you have it and learn how to feel the clip and know that goes towards you. One second can cost you a giant vet bill, a dead dog and a really bad time. These days with all the dum dums getting aggressive breeds and they have no idea how to handle them I say you are crazy if you do not carry some kind of protection. If that dog comes at us again which I doubt... or any dog or coyote will get a mouthful of HALT ! It can not taste good ! Too bad we can not use it on their owners since they are the ones that probably did not train that dog.

I bought this about two years ago because my area has a problem with roaming dogs. Haven’t had to use it until today. I was walking with my daughter when two small dogs came running up to us and tried biting my legs. It took two sprays of HALT (it would’ve probably only taken one if I hadn’t panicked and sprayed wildly) and it stopped the attack and saved us from being bitten. I will be keeping this on hand forever now.

Haven't had to use it yet, but carrying helps immensely. I have two large dogs who don't like strange dogs running up to me and I don't want anyone's dog to get hurt. The chihuahua that gets out scares me for his safety. This won't be comfortable, but could be life saving.

Great defense against coyotes

I haven’t had to use it but feel more confident about my 9lb dogs safety. We have a lot of coyotes in the neighborhood so I was apprehensive to walk her.

Prevent unleashed dogs from attacking my leashed dog

It won’t hurt unleashed dogs going after my leashed dogs while on a walk and maybe the owners will learn how to take better care of their dogs.

Feel safer walking
