Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

steer clear -- dog & I are both seem to be allergic

Yikes. First, the smell is incredibly overpowering and permeates every area the poor pup goes. I found just the smell to be incredibly irritating to my eyes and sinuses and even to my hands when I wasn't touching the collar or dog. At night I couldn't even roll to face the side of the room where the dog was without being overwhelmed by the smell and having sinus and eye reactions. I gave it a few days to see if it would settle down -- it did a bit by the end of the 3rd day but by then my puppy (15 weeks) was scratching like crazy and I finally realized she was having an allergic reaction too. Took it right off, took her swimming, then gave her a bath, and finally no itching. Poor girl. I absolutely do NOT recommend this collar.

these work great

I buy these for my dog because I give her Revolution and it doesn't cover all ticks, so my vet told me to buy these and my dog has not got any ticks since. I like that it is reflective and a great price

Doesn’t seem to help

Barely helps, she’s still non stop scratching. The only time she isn’t scratching is when she’s on the 30 day flea pill I’ve got her. It does good for her!

Flea Guard

I have used this product on my in doors and out stray. It use to work well .However I noticed last summer and even now in winter it is NOT WORKING . Not sure what they did to product .Hopefully they fix it before spring with all the bad reviews .. Or I will not purchase again ..

Allergic reaction?

So when I put this on my small dog, a few days later, he started breaking out in red, dime sized spots all over his stomach and chest. When I took the collar off, they went away. I never got a chance to see if the collar actually worked for fleas because I didn't want to leave it on him. It could just be a personal allergic reaction but just beware...

Great choice for my beagle

I noticed an immediate difference within two days of putting this on my beagle. My beagle is prone to allergies and if he gets fleas, it makes things worse. This collar has proven to be effective and I haven't seen him scratching like he was after we would go on our walks/hikes. There isn't a strong odor and it doesn't seem to bother him. I also love that it is able to get wet and remain effective. My beagle loves swimming and he can still wear this collar and get in the pool with us without having to remove it. The dual buckle system makes sure the collar stays on and it isn't difficult to use. I'm happy with this choice of flea and tick prevention for my beagle! I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.
