Description

Teaching your dog to sit, stay and heel at your command is easier with the Ultra-Plus Stainless Training Collar with ClicLock from Herm Springer. This safe and convenient training tool is designed to let dogs know when it’s time to heel. It's made with blunt prongs that help to guide your dog without hurting him. This works because the patented center plate mimics the way a mother uses her mouth to correct her puppies' behavior—the prongs gently pinch the back of his neck, signaling he should stop and listen. Plus, the unique ClicLock feature is designed to make it easier and safer to attach and detach your pup's new collar—just click it into place and push to lock. It’s great for taking large dogs or tough pullers on a walk, protecting you and your best bud from getting into a dangerous situation. Replacement links are available if you need to create a more custom fit.

Key Benefits
  • Designed to help you train your dog—especially commands like heel, sit and stay.
  • Features a ClicLock fastening plate that helps both you and your pup feel secure.
  • Gently pinches your dog's neck, mimicking the pinch a mother dog gives her puppies.
  • Great for walking strong pullers and large dogs, or during obedience training.
  • Replacement links are available to increase collar size.

Wipe clean with damp cloth.

Size

To select the most accurate size collar for your pet, measure the center of their neck with a cloth tape measure, a few inches down from their head. Pull the cloth tape measure snug, but not tight. If you don't have a cloth tape measure, you can use a piece of string and measure it with a rigid ruler afterwards. Make sure there's enough room for about two fingers between the collar and your pet's neck for comfort.

By ninexapple on Oct 18, 2021

Sleek and good looking Goes on and off easy Stainlees steel so it should not rust or leave a grey ring ( lead...??? ) around the neck like my old one did Thanks

Fantastic! Stop pulling on leash immediately.

By Evan on Aug 4, 2021

This is not a training collar. It does stop your dog from pulling on the leash when out for a walk. It does not hurt the dog. It just works! First time using this our dog walked by my side, or basically at the end of the leash, depends on how much of it you let out. But! The leash has slack in it. Once the dog is home and on a different collar, they’re back to pulling. So use this collar when out on walks, or just out and about. You’re shoulder will thank you.

No good for the cost. Pops off.

    By 4dogs on Jun 22, 2021

It came in tangled. Like really tangled 2 post’s were jammed into one hole. I pretty much had to take most of it apart to untangle it. We went to the vet with it that day and it popped off super embarrassed chasing my puppy around the vet. The quick release is a nice idea but the collar itself just doesn’t have the same functionality as the older versions. To do a correction just doesn’t work right. There’s no slip and release mechanism. I’ve used the older versions many times with my 4 dogs. They’re much better. I would not recommend and would prefer to exchange, but it’s already pretty well used at this point.

Not a fan of the click lock

By Tina on Oct 9, 2021

I would recommend getting the original Herm Sprenger with the traditional martingale part, works much better.

    sizing is an issue

By Ranger on Jul 2, 2021

My dog measures 17 inches around the neck, so I ordered the 18 inch collar. I had to remove 4 links to secure a proper fit. The result was 6 links left in the collar, which does not look like it will provide the proper result. I now ordered a 14 inch collar with extra links, hoping to get a proper fit. Plan on providing an update once I get the 14 inch collar.

    Easy to Use

By Lisa on Jul 28, 2021

Easy to put on and take off; so much easier than trying to slip over my dogs head. The collar stays secure and my pup does not mind wearing this collar unlike the previous one we had.

    Instant Trainer

By Jacqueline on May 21, 2021

My 7 month old lab mix was not good on a leash. She wasnt making any progress listening to commands. Once I put this collar on she realized that if she pulled she would hurt herself. She has been awesome on a leash ever since. I rarely have to correct her when she is wearing this collar. She walks beside me and has no problems wearing this collar.

    High quality

By Joee on May 1, 2021

Bought this after a recommendation to fix the pulling and jolting towards other dogs. We have a 75lb German Shepherd. This was an instant fix without any extra correction. My one concern was the buckle, people always complain that buckle pinch collars break but I can’t see that happening, if that is a concern you can attach a regular flat collar to the same leash as a backup. The buckle just makes it so easy to put on and off.

    Excellent Product Excellent Results

By WVGSDMom on Apr 14, 2021

For years I have used Herm Sprenger collars that are the 'choke' type designed for owners to pull back on the leash and subsequently the pinch for correction. They work well however I have never been a been a huge fan as it can be rather traumatic depending on your dog and it's personality, determination to go after that squirrel, other dog, mailman, etc.... This is the first time I have used the H. Sprenger ClicLock and LOVE it - our 6mo old 65lb GSD pup self-corrects himself without the yank some trainers encourage with the choke design. It is easy to put on and take off (kids or those with arthritis such as grandma had difficulty getting the non-Click design on and off easily). I am huge fan of Herm Sprenger collars in general - excellent quality, durable and pure steel - I would only by from this company if you're looking for this type of collar. Regarding size - I currently use a 3.25mm on our pup (took 2 prongs off for now - you want it to fit above the normal collar higher on the neck, not too tight tho) and will eventually purchase a 3.85-4.0mm when he's grown. Hold off on buying replacement prongs (save the $11-12) if you think your dog will grow into a larger size. I wasted $ buying replacements which I won't need as I will just purchase a larger Sprenger here in a few months. Priced just right on Chewy to where I don't want to deal with the hassle of a return and will just eat the lost $ for the extra prongs. Side note - the black color is AWESOME!!! Good luck!! … more

    Missing lock

By Lgpe on Jun 9, 2021

This collar kept popping open when my dog would pull. I think it is supposed to have a slider that locks it shut but it doesn’t. Came off 3-4 times when the lock gave.
