Feeding Instructions

Feed your rabbit ¼ to 1 cup of Sunburst per day depending on the age of your pet. Complement this feeding with unlimited amounts of hay. Always regulate the food portion to maintain your pet’s weight. A pregnant or lactating female will sometimes eat 2 to 3 times as much as a normal adult. Remove and discard uneaten food everyday and clean the bowl prior to refilling it. Always maintain fresh drinking water near your pet’s food container.

Transition Instructions

While introducing a new food to your pet friend, gradually mix new food with your pet’s old diet. Increase the amount of food over a period of 7 to 10 days. This will allow your pet to adjust to the new food and it will prevent any upset to your pet’s digestive system.

    Lola K Sickmeier

By Longears on Apr 23, 2021

She seems to really enjoys it, has no problems with this food whatsoever so far. And the prices are reasonable also considering we're on a fixed income, means things are tight at times.

Never use this food for your rabbit

By Reenie on Jan 4, 2021

This food is a very unhealthy! Bunnies should never have corn, oats or sugary colored pieces! A diet of unlimited hay, dark leafy greens and a small amount of a good quality pellet such as oxbow is best.

    Friendly reminder

By Nolia on Dec 21, 2020

Always make sure the pellets you feed your bunnies have a minimun of 18% fiber. Say NO to overly processed foods or anything that will put your bunnies health at risk, specially because they are much more delicate animals.

    My Rabbit Loves This Food

By MissouriDogMom on Oct 8, 2020

I see from some of the other reviews that the alfalfa hay in this product is not the best choice for a rabbit on a regular basis (timothy hay is preferred), but I have been feeding it in addition to timothy hay for some time with no problems. He really goes after the bowl when I set it down. I only wish it came in a size larger than 3 pounds and smaller than 25.

    The Best Rabbit Food

By AnimalLover on Jun 20, 2020

I have such a picky bunny and this is the only kind he will eat all of! I’ve tried “healthier” ones and he would hardly touch it. I think the fact that this does have treats in it does help coax him into eating all of it. However, I don’t provide actual treats but once a week to keep his diet balanced. Plenty of hay and greens is also essential. I have one happy bunny!

    Use as treat only

By Curiosity on Jun 7, 2020

I ordered this food without viewing the ingredients. For adult rabbits Timothy hay should be the 1st ingredient, this is alfalfa. I was disappointed and will now use as a treat only. I only recommend it as a treat, therefore the low score is for using it for daily pellet ration. The rabbits love it otherwise.
