My vet advised we use this - and I will be having a word with her. I trusted she knew what she was doing. I didn't read the ingredients, just bought it. I was doing the small bag and it was going ok so decided to do the large bag. She won't eat it and she is acting ill. I am moving her off of it back to her old food and will find something else low calorie to help her with her weight. She is chewing on her paws. I looked at the ingedients and it is pure garbage in this food. Dog Food Adviser won't touch a review but they flag all of the questionnable ingredients. $90 out for garbage food.
In just 14 days of using Hills Prescription Metabolic dry and canned food, my mini Aussie has lost 4lbs! This was the recommended weight loss by his veterinarian! This guy isn't very active, and loves treats! So it has been a struggle to get him to lose some weight to reduce strain on his knees. He LOVES the taste! We mix dry and a spoonful of canned and he devours it. Gets one metabolic dog treat a day, getting away from calories in all other dog treats. Success! We plan to keep him on this food in hopes of increasing his activity level and he keeps the weight off!
I didn't think this would work but it a week my dog has lost weight already and loves this food
My dog loves it and helps him lose weight. Add a little water to enrich flavor.
This is exactly what my Vet told me to get. Only Chewy had it.
So glad CHEWEY had my Winston’s food!! He is on Hill’s prescription diet food and Hill’s was out of stock and not sure when they would receive it!! My vet was out also!!
Finally found the correct dog food for our dog with sensitive stomach + a need to lose extra pounds gained from ‘other’ food with too many ‘fillers’, with high carbs. She loves this food - she did lose those extra pounds and she too seems more spunky/energetic.
We have tried weight loss dog foods. With a sensitive system, she often reacts or won’t eat. We have tried limiting intake, which only left her begging & hungry, I’m sure, & me feeling awful. This is a miracle. Intake is limited, but she likes it, doesn’t react, & it seems to satisfy her! I save some of her ration for her treat ball & she is happy with that! So it is easy to follow. Too early to tell, but I think I see a waist developing.
I missed the cut off date for ordering my dog's prescription dog food at the vet so he wrote me a prescription, and I was able to fill it through Chewy. Chewy is almost always cheaper on everything else, but I ended up not saving any money on my dog food, which was surprising to me.
Get recommended this for my Shepherd to control her weight. Just started her on it.
