This food is formulated for medical conditions and it meets those requirements. However, my dog only sort of likes the flavor and he HATES the texture. The peas (lentils?) are still very hard and he spits his food out because of them. I think he thinks they are pills hidden in his food they are that hard. I ended up buying a baby food grinder to puree his food so he'll eat it, since he needs this Rx diet and he doesn't have a lot of options to choose from.

First time we tried this food, our dog was not a fan. Her kidney disease progressed quickly and she would turned down all renal diet food. I finally pureed this food and fed it to her with a syringe for a couple of days. Turns out, she developed a taste for it and absolutely loves it now! Her health and bloodwork improved drastically since.

The dog has not cared much for any kibble unless it had chicken or ground beef on it. After 4 front teeth were extracted, she was switched to Freshpet. Later I left her with a sitter who prefers all dogs getting kibble, which my dog refused to eat so when the vet said to switch to special diet, I expected the worst but she likes the diet kibble & stew so much she pesters me if i dont give it to her on time.

This is a new food for my dog who has stomach issues, this has been an easy transition, she enjoys the flavor and the texture is easy for her to handle

My dog accepted this food in the beginning. I gradually added it with his old wet food till we were just using this as a replacement. After a month he refused to eat this and the dry Muti-Organ kibble. I don't know what changed.

Went down in a flash!

Simba had been very sick and was being picky so it was a big relief when he licked his bowl clean eating this.

My dog loves this slop!

You wouldn’t know from looking at this food but it’s apparently the best stuff my dog ever ate . She gobbles it down like Thanksgiving dinner!

I have nothing against this dog food. I'm sure it's great for the dogs that will eat it, but mine will not. We still have half of the first can and the remaining 11 unopened cans left. I spent almost $62 for 12 cans, and I'll have to give the rest away. This is why only two stars. Disappointed and frustrated she won't eat it since it's so expensive.
