Seems to work

Our cat Mitzi began throwing up on her dry food. After vet check and blood work we switched her to this Hills diet. She seemed to like it okay from the start which is very important. I believe some of the popular products have changed in their ingredients and maybe some prescriptions should be made available to kittens and cats earlier in their life and without tying it to a veterinarian visit. Some kitties suffer needless and miss out due to cost.

Satisfactory but could be better

A trial of this food was recommended by my vet for my 8 year old cat with IBD. She really likes this food for sure and is tolerating it well so far-it’s been 5 weeks. What I don’t like is that rice is the primary ingredient. I wish chicken could be the first ingredient and that it was lower overall in carbohydrates. I think it’s well documented that cats require and do best on a high protein diet from animal sources. Adding rice and plant based protein only serves as a money saver for Hill’s. Unfortunately there are no alternative foods with hydrolyzed protein available.

Older Cat saw Improved ability to Keep Food Down

Little Nicholi was vomiting almost every day and losing weight before we switched both cats to Hills ZD. Now it is a rare event maybe every 3-4 days. Along with his Probiotic we are optimistic this will solve his digestive problem.

Cats love it!

Got this prescribed formula for my ill kitty. He loves it and so do my other cats. My ill kitty is doing well recovering his appetite and stop regurgitating. I would recommend this food for its healthy benefits but the price is a tad too much for my pocket.

Skin Allergies

My cat developed horrible skin sores around her face and neck. She was scratching them constantly so we had to make her wear the cone of shame which made her even more miserable. The vet said it was a food allergy and recommended this cat food. She LOVES this food! Her wounds have healed, she no longer has to wear the cone of shame and we are all doing the HAPPY DANCE

My cat loves this food

My cat has intestinal disease and this food is helping him a lot. AND he loves the dry food. (There is a canned z/d but it is terrible...cat won't even look at it. It looks like brown gel-lo. )

Wrong Formula

Not sure if this will get used. The prescription that my cat is prescribed was out of stock. However that other one seems to be working very well for my cats needs and Chewy is always very quick with their delivery.

Great Coat!

Hill's Prescription Diet z/d was recommended by my cat's vet. He believes it will assist in her digestion problems. After several weeks on the food, I can honestly say that her coat is back to being sleek, smooth, and without mats of hair. She also does not have any white flecks of dander on her hair. She is (5-years-old) part Norwegian Forest Cat with three coats of thick, long hair. This is the best her coat has felt and looked in her adult life. As far as the digestive problems, some of her symptoms have improved, but we have another couple months to go on the food to determine if it is the right one for her main problem issues.
