My pup has trouble eating dinner without something extra. He likes parts of treats broken up or another topper he likes from Chewy, when we saw this one from his dog food brand. It really is a thick "stew" that he can eat stirred into a bit less of his regular dinner helping. Since our dog is a small pup, a Jack Russell terrier, we are able to make a pouch last about 3 nights by refrigerating the opened pouch inside a plastic baggie. It makes feeding dinner much easier when Sherman loves his meal.

Inside each pouch is a healthy and delicious stew that makes Teddy's suppertime more exciting. (Teddy is an 80 pound German shepherd/ rough collie cross.) He loves having a pouch added on top of his kibble. In fact, he gets so excited for his stew each evening, that if we are getting anywhere near suppertime, he tries to put himself away in his feeding crate in hopes of getting his supper sooner. He didn't get quite this excited about supper time when he only got kibble. It really does look like a stew too, not dissimilar from what you might get from a can meant for people. It actually smells appetizing to my people nose. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to make supper a bit more exciting and spoil their pupper in the process.

Hill’s has been around for a while and we’ve used their prescription food before so I was expecting a good product. This soft stew in pouches delivered. Both of my beasts loved it as a mix-in to their dry food. We had the chicken and vegetable stew and you could see the veggies and rice in it. The packets were less than 3 ounces, so the box said you’d need 9 to feed a 20lb dog. I like that it’s veterinarian recommended. I’m not a vet and don’t play one on TV, but I’d recommend it, too.

I have a female terrier mix that is so picky, we have to change foods about every 3-4 weeks. So I tried putting a small pouch of Hill's Science Diet Adult 7+ Healthy Cuisine Chicken & Vegetables Stew Wet Dog Food (2.8-oz pouch) on top of the dry food of the week and she actually chowed down. It's too soon to tell if she'll get tired of this combination of dry food with the wet topper, but I am very hopeful!

Although my dog has allergies, including some foods, he does seem to like this product very much so. Since he usually only gets dry dog food, the wet food can make his poop a little mushy. I like The pouch style, but a lot of the food does get trapped in the very bottom because the patches are creased. I usually put a little bit of warm water and try to get all the food that’s trapped in the creases out before before throwing the pouch away. If the pouch could be made with a flatter bottom, then I wouldn’t feel like I’m throwing food away that I’m paying for.

He is a tiny guy so one packet per meal is great. I love that it is real food instead of just hard dog food.
