My cairn terrier just turned 17 years old and has had some health issues recently. She wasn’t eating or at most, she would find something she likes for two days and then gets over it. We are on our third week and she skips towards this food. She eats a 1/2 a can each time and she’s fed 4-5 times a day. I also heat it up in the microwave for seven seconds and it feels like a special meal for her. She is so much stronger and looks better than when she was first diagnosed with her health condition. Thank you for bringing Sadie back to life! I’d recommend this to everyone!

We've gone through several food types over the years, going from crunchy food to soft food as her teeth got bad and her health needs changed. She finally had a full mouth extraction, and as a result has a "soft tongue" that can no longer grab pieces of food or drink enough water. So we use an immersion blender and blend a cup of this senior small breed food with about a 1/4 cup of water to make a dog-food smoothie for her. For a couple of years now, she has been successful in eating several of these smoothies a day, as long as it's *these* cups, and as long as the cup is *newly opened*. (Newly opened has been key! lol She decided years ago that if wet dog food had been sitting around for a day in the fridge, she would have nothing to do with it.) So here we are, helping her live her sunset years the best we can, and this small serving cup of Hill's Chicken & Veg stew is helping us do that for her. We've literally tried all the cups and cans and brands. I'm just so thankful there's something out there that meets her taste buds where they are right now. I hope our experiementation and review can help others out there. The struggle is real.

Easy to order and what I wanted was in stock.

It is difficult to find dog food for elderly dogs in the store because it sells out.

My 16 yr old toy poodle, Eloise and 17 yr old tiny chihuahua, Samson, love this food. Eloise does not like the bits of carrot which she spits out beside her dish. Samson loves it all. He’s 4 lbs and toothless. the stew is perfect. He licks up the gravy, the food bits are the perfect size for him.
