For some reason my small dog (Chihuahua) started to get sick and couldn’t keep his food down anymore. He was (and has always been) on blue sensitive for small dogs (just different blends/ages throughout time). Since this happened once before, I immediately took him off blue again and fed him bland diet until he was better (boiled potatoes, chicken breast, sweet potatoes, brown rice). Unfortunately, he dropped his weight tremendously (which wasn’t all bad; he needed it) To be fair, he is 13 yrs old and really has no need for blue’s high protein and last time this happened was over 7 yrs ago. Anyway, the science diet food is small bites, which he seems to like (doesn't struggle so much with chewing anymore) and it seems to be digesting well (no struggle or inconsistent bowel movements). The vet gave him a clean bill of health so if my dog is happy, I’m happy. Can’t take the chance with the potential for contamination and this has happened twice from the previous brand so it was time for a change. I’m happy with the results. The food seems better for him.
Our little senior malti-pom enjoys this food. We adopted her at 10 years old, and she greatly needed a dental. Many of her teeth were pulled and this food has worked well for her chewing. She still needs to work it around a bit in her mouth, but she enjoys it. She is complimented frequently about her youthful energy at her age, now 12. No bowel issues either.
I have a two finnicky Shitu and Poodle cross and looking for a better dog food to suit their needs. I got small bag of the Hill's Science Diet for sensitive skin and stomach. They loved it ! I am placing order for another bigger bag. The other expensive dog food they turned their noses up to . Hills Thank you for creating a good quality Product.
My standard poodles were having some digestive issues and I tried many foods that didn’t work out for one reason or another and then found this food! They LOVE IT & their tummies clearly feel much better but we have to continue shopping because we have too many poodles to feed this expensive food to unfortunately. If you only have one or 2 dogs and want to spend a good amount on food for them this one is really great! Thank you Chewy for the opportunity to get my kids’ tummies feeling better with the 40% off deal on this!!! It made a huge difference!!!
Molly is such a picky eater. She gobbles this food up and has no digestive problems. Besides that, CHEWY gives amazing and thoughtful customer service. We both appreciate the excellent service and product.
My yorkie loves this dog food. He literally started digging in as soon as I put the dish down. compared to the blue buffalo he usually eats I say this is his new favorite. I’m so happy I finally found the one he likes. I was a little hesitant at first that he wouldn’t like it but boy was I wrong. Thanks to all the awesome reviews I’m glad I went for it.
I purchased this food for my 2 year-old Shorkie. I thought it would help her stools be more consistent. Being new to her, I've been mixing a handful with her old Hill's Science Diet food to get her used to it. Sadly, she won't eat it. She either completely won't touvh her bowl, or picks out the old food.
My older dog was vomiting at least 2 times a week from a sensitive stomach. he has been on this for 2 weeks now and has not had any episodes.
My 2 year old Frenchie is on Science Diet sensitive stomach. I saw this & wanted to put mom and 10 month old pups on the same food (they do Royal Canin). We mixed all food for about 1 to 2 weeks until it ran out. Of course the poop was different but once solely on this, they had horrible diarrhea. Luckily the Chewy rep told me about the bland diet & I got a refund. My dogs poo is now solid since I stopped this food. So upsetting bc I'd think it was the same formula just smaller size. I feel so horrible My poor babies were sick!
Tried contacting chewy on this matter and they were of no assistance. My dog end up getting horribly sick and needed vet visit to solve the issue. Only change was his food.
