This varies depending on the individual dog. It could take 5-7 days. For example: Day 1-2: 25% New / 75% old Day 3-4: 50% New / 50% old Day 5-6: 75% New / 25% old Day 7: 100% If your dog is experiencing upset through the transition, then you can lessen the ratio as you see fit.

Does science diet puppy contain chicken by products?

The Hill's Science Diet Puppy Healthy Development Small Bites Dry Dog Food does not contain chicken-by-products.

We have a puppy who is about 5 pounds and close to 4 months old. We have her now on Small paws, but since she is bigger now want to go with the next bigger size kibble. Are the ingredients the same?

At this time, Hill's Science Diet offers (3) three puppy formulas that would be suitable for a small breed puppy. Each of the formulas has chicken as it's main protein, however the rest of the ingredients may differ between them. The Puppy Health Development Small Bites has a kibble size of 7.3 x 4.5 millimeters (mm), the Puppy Small Paws is 7.5 x 4.5 mm, and the regular Puppy recipe is 10 x 4 mm.

Healthy pups

Two months ago, I rescued two very sick puppies. Our vet gave me a sample bag of Hills Science diet for puppies w/sensitive tummies (chicken), along with medicine

Two months ago, I rescued two very sick puppies. Our vet gave me a sample bag of Hills Science diet for puppies w/sensitive tummies (chicken), along with medicine and more medicine. Because these puppies were so sick when I got them, the vet suggested they may have permanent damage to their stomachs. They have been on Science diet small bites for 2 months and they are finally off medicine and have solid stools. No more vomiting blood and pooping blood. No more diarrhea. No more emergency trips to the veterinarian! Thank you Science Diet. My puppies look healthy! They have a twinkle in their eyes, their coats are coming in soft, silky and shiny. The 7 month old is no longer 5 lbs 1 oz but is over 10 pounds....the black pup. Her growth is most likely stunted but she is no longer, as the vet said, 'frail.' They finally play and seem to be the happiest puppies with tons of energy! Even though the black pup will never reach the full size of cocker spaniel, she and her buddy are filling out nicely!!! Finally a dog food I can trust to be what it is supposed to be!!! Thank you for making a product that is helping our fur babies live a long HEALTHY life.

Good name brand puppy food

I fed this brand to my puppy and then I said the adult stuff to my 10-year-old dog they both love it it's good for them stops the itching for him well balanced meal
