Lucy and Padme both have pancreatitis. Lucy for 3 years and Padme over 2 years. I contacted Chewy and they recommended Honest Kitchen. I did and they said they didn’t know if their products helped pancreatitis. I bought it anyway and after a few months Padme had a blood test to see how she was. The veterinarian was amazed because her numbers were way done. He said she’s fantastic and keep up with what your doing. Thank you Chewy.
My dog used to have sensitive stomach, having very often diarrhea or soft poop and she wasn’t eating or left the kibble for hours in the bowl. A friend advised to change to the Honest Kitchen and it has been amazing. I can also feel it in her energy and how the food lasts 30sec and she is so excited when it’s good time!! Due to the price we mix it half and half now with some good quality kibble and she loves it!
I was so excited to try this food, as it's so convenient to have soft food, that does not require refrigeration, or large quantities of packaging (tins, sachets, etc.) to deal with daily. However, my dogs will not eat it, unless I bury it under something else. So disappointed. In principle, it's a wonderful idea. I wonder if a different flavor would have made a difference?
I have a 11 yr old chocolate lab with kidney disease and she would eat the prescription kidney food for a week or so but then wouldn't eat it. I tried several toppers then heard about this and when we tried it she loves it and has continued to eat her kidney food with this mixed in.
Like most dogs, mine are always in the same room with me whenever possible. But when I rehydrate this food, not only will they not be with me, but they will not go near the food. The ingredients seem fine, and the reviews are what prompted me to try it. If you try it, start with a smaller box.
