High quality food in an easy to dispense size

I have a smaller size Terrier mix dog and wanted to give him the best quality raw food possible. With Instinct Frozen Raw Bites I have finally found it and the fact that it is frozen in small bites instead of a bigger chunk makes it a lot easier to provide him the correct amount without having to defrost it first.

This raw product may be good for other doggies, but my Shih Tzu & Havanese didn't like it raw. So I had to nuke it for about 3 mins then serve it with brown rice & they hesitantly ate it. A 3 star rating is not because is bad, is just not for my pets. It was my 1st time purchasing and personally I would not buy again.

I was very optimistic about this food. My previous purchase of a different brand gave my dogs diarrhea for a week and a half so I knew I had to fix that. I found these ordered 2 6 lb bags. They came nicely packaged. I was impressed. The problem lies when it defrosts. It turns into a gelatinous goop. The nuggets don’t hold their shape. So I am discontinuing my food search on chewy and going to go to one of the fresh pet coolers and buy my food there.

Dog really likes it and gobbles it right up. Her coat seems extra shiny and she lost a few extra pounds. Only issue for me is thaw time . It’s says it thaws in a few minutes but feels strange to give my dog food that is so cold.

The side of one of three bags was torn apart. It’s contents were all over the dry. Ice. For the price of the product the seam of the bag should not have torn open.

Got my 10 year old dog slim and energetic

It gets a bit pricey because I have such a large dog but this food is worth every penny. My dog needed to lose weight but gain nutritional value. As soon as I started him in this, he lost weight and had WAY more energy. He’s ten and after every meal he runs around excited like a pup. He loves this food and I can see such a difference in him. It took about two days for his body to get used to the transition. They make sure it stays frozen in route and it comes quickly. Not a single complaint. So glad I switched.

We feed our Yorkie Instinct raw chicken food. We were getting it locally but the food there had obviously been thawed and refrozen. We now order from Chewy and not only does it cost less but arrives quickly and is still frozen.

I have been reviewing raw food diets & decided to switch my Chipin over. She loved this. The first time she ate it frozen. Then the next time she waited for it to thaw. I give her 1/3 of a cup each feeding. Her coat is softer & she has more energy.
