Questions & Answers

7 Customer Questions

Our 2 boys were part of the trap-neuter-release program and flip out at even the sight of a cat carrier. How long ahead of a vet trip would it be best to administer?

Answer by ChewySep 11, 2018
Some animals may need to remain on essence treatment long term, and some may see resolution very quickly. We have found that most animals will benefit from long-term administration of a maintenance solution. When not using for long term, it's best to apply at least 30 minutes before a stress related situation.

Can I add this into an essential oil diffuser I have for when I leave to help calm my dog?

Answer by ChewyDec 07, 2019
All of the Jackson Galaxy Solutions can be used in a diffuser as an alternative way to dose. However, the solution mustn't be used in conjunction with essential oils. If you would like to use a diffuser, please make sure that if the diffuser was used with oils before that, it's cleaned out. Also, be sure to use spring water and use a diffuser that has no heating element. The best type of diffuser would be fan-based.

Will it work if I put a few drops on my dogs collar?

Answer by ChewyApr 05, 2019
Applying a few drops to or mist their collar is an alternative method to give this solution to your pet.

Can you use the peacemaker and the stress stopper together at the same time?

Answer by ChewyOct 21, 2019
You can use multiple Solutions at the same time, but it is important to apply them differently. Jackson Galaxy Solutions contain an average of 15-20 essences in them. Mixing them into one application would just be overwhelming for your animal and, honestly, cancel out the singular effect they've worked so hard to achieve. The best way to approach this is by splitting out the application methods.

I give this to Akira every day because my husband is sick and I have health workers coming through about 1 time a week. I also travel with Akira because we are not well off enough to hire a sitter for him. It seems to keep him pretty calm. He also is much more friendly with the people coming through. I would recommend.

I had originally ordered this product to clam my indoor/outdoor cat. For a time we had some feral cats crossing our property to get to a near by farm. This would often upset our cat because as they entered or exited our woods they would spray or mark our wood piles, trees and shrubs. our cat would often be up late into the night looking out the back windows, running back and forth through the house crying. It was very disruptive to our other cat and the dog, not to mention I was losing sleep too. I began using Jackson Galaxy stress stopper drops to clam the atmosphere in the areas he was using and in his sleep area, it was very helpful within about ten minutes I noticed him calming down and sleeping in his bed without any issues. I also used it in the carriers to go to the vet. I mentioned it to the veterinarian, he told me not to put the drops on the cat, nor in the food or water. But even so the product worked well on the bedding and window sill’s on cotton ball’s too. Sadly our big kitty passed away last month, leaving our other cat in deep distress they were together for nine years. So I began using the drops around the other kitty’s bed and sleeping area at night. it did minimize the nighttime crying throughout the house. I would recommend this product but you may want to ask your veterinary staff before using it in pet food, water or before placing the drops on the animals body.

I've used Jackson Galaxy solutions in the past for nervous cats and when socializing formerly feral kittens. I have seen them make a big difference with some cats. This time I purchased this (a new one for me) for two kittens from a feral colony, about 12 weeks old. One kitten has come around really quickly, the other is still hissing but slowly turning around, she's a calico so hard to tell if the stress solutions drops are helping or not. I will still keep using the drops.

Nacho nearly died of urethra obstruction and complications from surgery. They said stress could bring on stones so I got tried the plug in infusers. I don't know if they worked but my vet has them so I tried. They're expensive so I read about these stress stopper drops. He's a picky eater and even when I added these drops to his wet food, he still ate it right up. I'm not sure if this works really either but I want to think so and that I'm doing something a little extra to minimize his stress (what he's stressed about I have no idea. He has the best life ever and isn't afraid of anything!) I like Jackson Galaxy and want to support his brand and Chewy. Overall, it's tasteless, natural ingredients, and has no smell because Nacho eats it up.

It made my cat act bananas

This had the opposite effect that it claims to have. I put it on my cat, and he went bananas; he looked like he was seeing ghosts or something. Total freak out
