I had become a werewolf after bathing my German Shepherd and realized this is what everyone had warned me about when a GSD is blowing coat. I immediately called a trusted professional groomer and asked for recommendations. She explained exactly the kind of deshedding rake I needed and expressed that it would save my life now that I have a GSD. And she was right!!! I have used it on my shepherd, on my Pyrenees mix and on my mutt boy and wowzers is it ever effective. Piles and piles of undercoat have been removed and the dogs look nicer, with a shiny coat that is richer in color. Top notch!

This Deshedding Tool DOES NOT work with all dogs - Disappointed

I was very disappointed when using this tool to see that it does not work with all the dogs. I was trying to use it on my medium hair corgi/healer mix and it kept

I was very disappointed when using this tool to see that it does not work with all the dogs. I was trying to use it on my medium hair corgi/healer mix and it kept getting STUCK. My terrier mix with very fine thin hair it did work. I got it for the dogs with the medium and thicker coats and it just isn't cutting it. Very disappointed in this tool it should work with all the dogs!

Purchased this tool and the JW Pet double row rake tool at the same time. I have a German Shepherd who seems to shed 24/7. I was unable to run this tool through his fur without it becoming stuck and pulling on his fur. My comment is that it did not work for my dog. Kept the rake and gave this one away.

We have two large dog with medium and longer hair, they are brushed most every day with a combination of 4 different brushes and undercoat shedding tool. The golden lab retriever mix is none stop extreme shedder even with all the brushing. This desheding tool got tons of hair out and found some small mats! The reduction of hair in the house and on our clothes is at least 80%. In just a few weeks there coats are starting to get softer! They have always liked getting brushed but they LOVE "brush brush time" so much more! Highly recommend
