This is a big block for my 7 hens! They like it, though they peck the favorite parts first of course. Wish I could find a way to break it up into quarters, but I just pull it out after a day (or a weekend when I am away) and store it to offer it again at a later time.

Impossible to hard to peck

Why in the world is this so hard? My hens can not peck through it, I've tried to break it up with a hammer, a shovel and a screw driver. It only chipped off in chunks

Why in the world is this so hard? My hens can not peck through it, I've tried to break it up with a hammer, a shovel and a screw driver. It only chipped off in chunks. Sadly it is a waste of money and impossible for the hens to eat. I do not recommend this product!

I would need a new block every other day they love it so much !! My Ameraucana flock of 30 starts chowing down thru the wrapper if i dont hurry up and get it open. I think they like the whole corn the best although they love the whole block.. Wish I could afford more blocks at a time.....

Blocks would be great if they could be eaten.

Got my block and put it in my run. It's way to hard for chickens to peck. I tried a hammer to break it up which didn't work. Then I used a Chisel & hammer and it

Got my block and put it in my run. It's way to hard for chickens to peck. I tried a hammer to break it up which didn't work. Then I used a Chisel & hammer and it barely know off a chunk. Won't be purchasing again. Chewy did honor my refund though.

Too hard, chickens not interested at all

My chickens have shown little to no interest in this even after several weeks. With 26 chickens I thought some would want to peck at it but it’s rock hard and they

A bit disappointed

The item came promptly but had moisture between the clear plastic and the block, making me question for mold. I put it out anyways for my flock but they haven’t

The item came promptly but had moisture between the clear plastic and the block, making me question for mold. I put it out anyways for my flock but they haven’t shown any interest. I’ve sprinkled their regular scratch grain treats over it to clue them in but it’s been a few days and nothing. I wish I had just bought a regular bag of 25 lbs scratch grain

Chickens don’t want

Why is it so hard? What is sticking everything together? Gorilla glue? My chickens don’t want this. Lots of rock hard whole corn kernels. This cannot be good for

This was very well packaged so it was fresh considering the actual product. Fit great in my hanging net and the chickens have been pecking at it. It is a good size

This was very well packaged so it was fresh considering the actual product. Fit great in my hanging net and the chickens have been pecking at it. It is a good size so it will last months in the enclosed chicken run hanging.

Rock Hard

My hens love flock blocks so I get one every once in awhile for them. This one I noticed they weren’t pecking at it at all, and then I noticed it had damaged one

My hens love flock blocks so I get one every once in awhile for them. This one I noticed they weren’t pecking at it at all, and then I noticed it had damaged one hen’s beak! The top end of her beak is cracked and has broken off because of this block.. way too hard! Now her tongue is exposed. I’ve had to break it up with a hammer for them to enjoy this one. Very disappointed.
