Each nugget contains exact nutrition ensuring your bird gets the right nutrition. And unlike seed, there are no shells or hulls which means less mess in and around the cage.

Key Benefits
  • Naturally preserved with no artificial colors or flavors
  • Each morsel is very palatable with a crunchy easy-to-eat texture that’s highly digestible
  • A complete extruded diet helps ensure proper bird nutrition to produce better feathering and brighter colors

  • DHA and Omega-3 supports healthy heart, brain and eye function

Feeding Instructions

Feed 1/4 cup daily. Feed Exact Natural food every day in a clean food cup. Adjust to the bird's actual needs and spillage. Provide a clean, fresh supply of water daily. Exact Natural food is designed to be the bird's sole diet. Limit additional foods, such as fresh fruits, vegetables or other treats, to 20% of the bird's total diet. When used as directed, no additional vitamin or mineral supplements are recommended.

Transition Instructions

When changing to a new food or diet, birds require time to adjust. It is recommended to slowly mix the old with the new until the birds are accustomed to the new diet. For best results, limit the portion of food available to the suggested feeding amount.

After 21 days feed Exact food only - your bird should be completely converted. Observe your bird closely to ensure it is eating exact food and not searching for its old food. A color change in the droppings (to a brownish color) should be evident with successful conversion. Conversion time may vary.

    Smaller than expected

By Wittleys on May 24, 2021

Usually I can substitute cockatiel treats, toys and food for my sun conure and I can’t find his usual pellets from Exact anywhere. From the pictures I was expecting a small pellet. These are very very small and only slightly larger than a grain of sand. It looks more like canary food. Not something he can pick up. Still, we will try it and see if he will eat it. Exact is the brand he was raised on and it is what he likes most.

Recommended by my breeder for my baby cockatiels

By Howiec on Mar 14, 2021

The breeder from whom I purchased my baby cockatiels recommended Kaytee Exact. I mix this in with their regular Kaytee Forti-Diet Safflower seed mix.

    Birds won't touch it

By Cwalt on Mar 12, 2021

I'm sure it's great for some, however my cockatiel's won't touch it. Even with slow transition to the new food.

    My birds tolerate it

By Luna on Aug 7, 2020

Here’s the thing- birds love seeds. They aren’t crazy about me mixing it in but they eat it (they just choose the seeds over the pellets). It has helped them with their feathers and health so much now that they eat it more! I noticed a difference in their behaviors- in a good way, I noticed that we’re eating more of the pellets. They eat it a lot more now compared to when I had first introduced it to them. I have 1 American budgie, 1 English budgie, and 1 cockatiel. They don’t love it but they don’t seem to hate it.
