Smaller Packaging/ Non-Resealing

I often wondered why other manufacturers including Kaytee would use such a large bag for only 2lbs of seed. I thought it was a waste of money on the manufacturing

I often wondered why other manufacturers including Kaytee would use such a large bag for only 2lbs of seed. I thought it was a waste of money on the manufacturing side. Low and behold, my shipment today included the same 2lbs of seed, but packaged in a smaller bag. The bag is the height of a bottle of spring water to be exact. What took you guys so for this realization??? :-) My female budgie is picky when to comes to eating any type of food. I have had her for over six years, and she continues not to like pellets. She either knocks them out of her dish, or pushes them aside. However, she has this urge to see what I am eating. I'll eat a small bowl of Doritos, and or popcorn, and she flies onto the lip of my bowl. Personally, I think she's thinks that she is part dog. In reducing the bag size, they have also eliminated the reseal option. Not that I ever used it. I always remove my seed from the bag, place is in a Tupperware container and place it in the refrigerator to maintain freshness. She goes gaga over cold seed. FYI: The seed received is exactly what is pictured on Chewy's website.

I bought 25 pounds of parakeet bird seed for two parakeets. The 25 pounds could last up to two years. I put the bird seed and greens in a plastic bottle and mix

I bought 25 pounds of parakeet bird seed for two parakeets. The 25 pounds could last up to two years. I put the bird seed and greens in a plastic bottle and mix them up. Put the bottle in freezer and when one bottle gets empty, I take one out of freezer. Parakeets like the greens. I fill up around 8 plastic bottles and put them in the freezer.

Different pieces of seeds in the bag

Buddy boy picked out of the dish all the red and blue colored seeds , then spit them out on the bottom of the cage or in the Bird bath. I don't remember seeing those

One of Billy’s Favorites

My parakeet loves to eat. He gets excited when I pull the bag off his food cart, along with the noise I make opening up the bag. This product never lets me down

Disappointed,

I have given them the food but they refuse to eat it. I have left it in the cage without any other food and they still will not eat. May I return it? As it is

Maybe you can suggest another parakeet food for them. I am really concerned as I don't want them to "starve" - I will have to buy some food at a pet store.

It was his favorite

My bird loved this seed, I got the order on Saturday and when I came home from work on Monday, Birdie died so he never got to eat it, but I was able to donate it
