Chewed to bits

Our 50lb pup loved this just a bit too much so we had to take it away and toss it. He had chewed off the end of it within about 30 minutes and we had yellow chunks

Our 50lb pup loved this just a bit too much so we had to take it away and toss it. He had chewed off the end of it within about 30 minutes and we had yellow chunks of it all over the carpet. The next day his poop was literally crumbly with yellow chunks throughout. I don't know if that's what they meant by it flakes but this thing was on its way to being completely demolished and eaten and those little chunks were pretty sharp.

I bought these because the dogs kept stealing the kindling for my wood-burning fireplace, now they're everybody's favorite, visiting dogs, pet sitting dogs, our own dogs, everybody loves them. One is halfway gone already and one suspiciously disappeared (I think a visiting pupper snuck one home, lol). If they're not interested at first, smear a little peanut butter on there, then they'll never stop!

So Disappointed

My 70 pound, 11 month old, German Shepard, had this falling apart within 5 minutes. And he was eating the pieces like a puppy would do. It is not eatable. So

Tough

Finn destroys chew toys and especially plush toys. This bone is the only one we've found that holds up to his attention. He gets through one in about 2 weeks

Better for Dental Health Than Nylabone

I hope Kong never discontinues these. My Husky LOVES them. Yes, sometimes little pieces come off, but the pieces are not so sharp as to hurt my fur baby. My Husky

I hope Kong never discontinues these. My Husky LOVES them. Yes, sometimes little pieces come off, but the pieces are not so sharp as to hurt my fur baby. My Husky can chew on these for multiple sessions before I take it away and replace it. I’ve bought multiple variations of artificial chews made for less aggressive chewing styles and my puppers prefers this one to most of the others. Why do I buy a chew toy that can be worn down? My vet recommended providing LESS INDESTRUCTIBLE chews after extracting 2 fractured teeth she suspected my adult Siberian Husky injured on Nylabone toys made for “power chewers”. This is safer for my dog’s teeth!! Having to replace semi-destructible chews like this is WAY cheaper than the $1600 vet bill for dental cleaning + 2 tooth extractions (anesthesia, recovery meds are more expensive the more a dog weighs). Additionally, my husky has MULTIPLE allergies - which oddly enough are to animal proteins - and so is on a prescription diet and prescription treats. It’s not like I can still buy her natural chews like bully sticks (her puppyhood favorite) or other popular brands of nylon chews with animal protein flavors. KONG: PLEASE NEVER DISCONTINUE THIS! CHEWY: THANKS FOR SELLING THIS DESPITE SOME LESS STELLAR REVIEWS!! I would be so sad if you stopped carrying these!!

This would be okay for an outdoor dog, but it's messy. This is for 'heavy chewers' but my mini doodle had it in pieces in less than 5 minutes.

Touch chew
