Can this be placed on the top of the door, or only on the bottom?

Typically, top of doors have a pretty snug closure into the door frame and the door wouldn’t be able to be shut. Plus, the wand would have an easier chance of getting pulled out assuming the cat would even jump that high to play with it. It could be done but we would not recommend this.

Did not last long

My cat absolutely loved this. But it only lasted 5-10 minutes until the string snapped. No idea where the toy on the end went. The wand part was also bent in shipping,

This was easy for me to place on my bedroom door and that’s important as I don’t always have that experience with other items. My cat likes this, but after the first day or so, her attention wasn’t always on it but she will at times walk by it and wrestle with it awhile. It has stayed in one piece and the toy on the end hasn’t been ripped off by her. My cat is blind but still finds the toy and plays with it, and she can be rough with toys, so it’s good that it’s held up. A cat with sight might play with it more often than she does, not because of lack of interest but because they can see it at a distance.

Not worth it

My cats after 1 week had destroyed this toy (the wand portion). They were able to bite through the wand portion and then I left the door attachment on and in 1 day

My cats after 1 week had destroyed this toy (the wand portion). They were able to bite through the wand portion and then I left the door attachment on and in 1 day they destroyed that while I was working. Disappointed that a Kong toy did not last, I purchased thinking it would survive the cats but they defeated it very quickly.

Great and smart design

I picked this up because of the design. It is angled so the cats actually see it dangling not just hanging along side a wall or door. Even my playful puppy liked

I picked this up because of the design. It is angled so the cats actually see it dangling not just hanging along side a wall or door. Even my playful puppy liked it. Until I woke up one morning to see the line had been bitten through and the fish no where to be found. However, because of the design, I can reuse the base with another pole dangler toy and get a few more plays out of it!
