Ethical Pet A-Door-Able Bouncing Bird with Feather Tail Cat Toy with Catnip, Color Varies

I bought this late November/early December 2020. I had never even heard of one of these before lol. I put this baby on the door, and not even 30 min later the feathers were already shredded. But that didn't stop my 6 mon old Cali. She played until she panted. During playtime I like to take it around the house and she goes nuts! She still uses it everytime I put it up on the door. She likes to grab it and run off and it still maintains very nicely when it swings back into place. The stretchy wire is very durable, I even add jingle balls and soft toys on there. It has helped her build and develop her skills, plus she loves showing off her moves for mommy and daddy. It was a great price, and I'm I bought this late November/early December 2020. I have gotten this one with bird and the other one is a mouse. My cats Love them and could easily play for hours. Except for what I see as a design "flaw." It's the string, which is elastic for swing and bounce, However its too weak to stand up to my cats teeth as they chew until it breaks! If Ethical Pet could find some type of string to withstand or deter chewing!

My more playful cats liked this toy, but the feathers lasted about 5 minutes before they got pulled out. Also, it took only 10 minutes for one of my cats to figure out that she could chew through the elastic cord and run off with the bird. I've had to reattach the bird five times so far.

Donnie made quick use of this toy. He is pretty adept at chewing the toy off of the elastic, however. I'm thinking of buying a spool of elastic so that I can just rehang the toy. The bracket does a surprisingly good job of not coming off of the door frame.

I have two kitty boys Ngese and Shisha and they both love it. (See photo of Ngese playing with this toy!) When I hang it up I do not leave it unattended. It is very sturdy and holds up well. Unfortunately, my kitty Ngese has discovered a superpower and is now jumping on countertops - something he never did before this toy! Sometimes I wear it like a cape and they go crazy chasing it.

It was great - but sadly didn't last - the cats loved it but then it broke - first it did not hand any more from the door and then string broke- taken together a failure

They don't care if I have work or a meeting to attend. I bought this and immediately found it was a hit with the 2 year olds AND the 5 year olds in the house. I had to buy additional ones, as they were fighting over it. Dean chews elastic on his toys, and within minutes he chewed the bird off the string. I changed the elastic because of his issues, but it is one of those "why didn't I think of that" toys. Dean carries this chewed off bird around now and plays with it over all other toys. I bought another one of these for hanging play and I am 100% working from home during quarantine. The quality of this toy is pretty poor. Our kitten had the feathers and the googly eyes ripped out within hours, the elastic broke within a few weeks, and the stuffing has been completely ripped out. BUT this is far and away her favorite toy. Before the elastic broke, she spent so much time leaping at it and attacking in the air. Now, she carries it all over the house, and can't resist engaging with it when we play with her. This is definitely something we'll be repurchasing in the future.

I'm trying to make sure my girl has enough enrichment toys around my space for her to have entertainment when I am not home. This is the most lowkey enrichment toy ever. It hooks onto the doorframe and you can move it wherever. My only complaint is that the bird does dangle slightly higher than I would like, and it probably would make it more attractive if there were catnip in it. But my girl still loves it and jumps up to get it here and there!

I ordered this for my cat and honestly it’s the best toy ever. He is a very energetic 1 year old cat and this toy has been keeping him occupied for hours now.
